“Peace and quiet in the hustle and bustle”

Just the most relaxingly beautiful stroll I've had in a long time. Lush green, blue sky shining, perfect backdrop. I love you Sydney!

“Quick tour via the Choo Choo Express”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

I was short on time, but wanted to get a look at the gardens. There's much to see, and the grounds are lovely. I'd definitely go back to explore it some more when I have time.
An ideal location for a picnic, or a walk, or even just to sit around and stare at the sky.

“An oasis of quiet in busy Sydney”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

We spent hours strolling through the various nooks and crannies of this expansive garden. It's a great place to relax and escape the noise of the city.

“Great Way to Spend a Day (or Two)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

When in Sydney, you definitely have to set aside a day (or two) to wander through the Gardens. Start early in the morning and head into the center of the park. If you are a birdwatcher (or even if you're not), watching the cockatoos and lorikeets going about their morning activities is fascinating. Take your camera and be prepared for some spectacular shots.
Be sure to explore all of the paths, especially the amazing walk that goes along a long stretch of the harbour. If you walk past the Opera House, you can catch a bite to eat at the restaurant by the Circular Quay and then head back to the Gardens for a late afternoon stroll.

“Lovely walks throughout park”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

This was the last Botanical Garden park that we went to on our trip and found it to be plainer than most of the other parks that we had enjoyed. Lots of shade though to get away from the heat. Maps of the park not available at all entrance gates. Do take a tour of Government House if you are there on the weekend. The tour guide was quite interesting. What we did find unusual is that we were told we could walk on the grass but at Government House they had signs saying Keep off the grass.
