Simpson’s is not for those seeking the kind of experience you get from the Holiday Inn or one of the big chains of hotels. It is small, intimate and friendly. Our room was beautifully furnished, the owners and staff were friendly, and there was a beautiful cosy living room with a fire always burning, which was just right for reading stories to a jet-lagged three-year old at three in the morning!

Simpsons is a charming, quiet, well appointed bed and breakfast within easy walking distance of the centre of Sydney.
We enjoyed the classic decor and spacious, comfortable room.
The staff were very warm and welcoming and went out of their way to assist us with car parking and other requests.
The continental breakfast provided a good variety of options and was very filling. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be returning there when next in Sydney.

Our family, which consisted of 8 persons, stayed at Simpsons for a week. The care was very helpful and personal. Not only were confirmations made via e-mail, but a follow-up afterwards to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The staff helped with securing tours and transportation, as well as offered touring information. We did not rent a car, so we depended on public transportation. There is a bus stop at the end of the road, so it wasn't too bad. There is also a grocery store and laundry mat within walking distance.

The rooms were decorated like gramma's house, so it didn't feel "hotel-like". The breakfast accommodations were wonderful--everyone found something they liked.

We had a most comfortable stay here and would endorse other recommendations. Our room on the ground floor was spacious, attractively furnished and most comfortable. It was great to return here to relax at the end of a day's sightseeing. It was also particularly good to be able to eat at the excellent local restaurants.

We appreciated the suggestions made by Keith for restaurants and also for places to visit during the day - his maps were very helpful and enhanced our first visit to Sydney.

Although the hotel is away from the centre the walk through the Botanical Gardens was very beautiful and our first sight of the flying foxes was memorable.

Breakfast was relatively simple but good.

We are looking forward to a return visit next time we visit Australia and would definitely recommend Simpsons.
