Jorn Itsen of Denmark was the architect of this Australian Icon and it's one of those buildings that catches your breath from the very first glimpse.
As for the interior, I highly recommend a tour, it's worth the price to really get into the space. You'll not be disappointed with the interiors, atmosphere or views. Make sure you take your camera.
Over the years, I have been to performances in each of the theatres and had supper at the Bennelong Restaurant. I have not been disappointed yet.
I reckon the world's coolest women's toilets are located in the basement foyer area. All designed around a wave and way beyond your average Aussie dunny experience.
Drinks and food are very expensive right through this belt of Sydney, so if you want to indulge in the ambience it is at a price. If on a tight budget, go to a performance and pack a picnic.
