A landmark building you simply cannot miss with a fantastic view of Sydney Harbour. We treated ourselves with one evening at the Opera to see Timeless Classics. It was great experience and a great performance. We arrived by VIP taxi boat from Double Bay (strongly recommend) and had the most spectacular view of Sydney!
Just because of this beautiful building & the role it plays in the arts it's definitely worth a visit. A tour, although a bit expensive, is a great way to get a bit more of an insight to the behind the scenes areas, as well as a bit more of the history & an opportunity to see more of the areas than you might otherwise get to see.
We booked the one hour Opera House tour. The whole family enjoyed the tour. The guide was very informative particularly in relation to the history of the Opera House.

I wasn't particularly looking forward to this tour but loved it ! It took about 1 hour. It was fantastic to see the various halls and learn a little about it's history. The tour guide was enthusiastic and informative. We took a picnic with us and ate in the Botanical Gardens. A lovely day.
Sydney and the Opera House go together. Our schedule did not allow us to take a tour, but we thoroughly enjoyed walking around the outside, taking pictures and briefly walking through the lobby. A must-see for anyone visiting Sydney.
