“Good Place to be at Night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

Stumbled upon this place after taking a cruise at Sydney Harbour area and saw that there was a night market going on. The place was packed and the queue for the food was horrendously long. Food were quite exotic from the different countries. There was also a few stalls that were displaying their crafts. Do check it out at night, as it was quite an experience for me, which I didn't quite expect at Sydney.

“Great place to imagine the history of Sydney”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

I know that the Rocks is totally geared to us tourists, but who cares - I love it! I love wandering around the little lanes and imagining what it must have been like 150 years ago. I also love the little markets that are held on Friday and over the weekend - a great place to pick up unique goodies and have dinner.

“Great place in which to wander and have a coffee or a pint”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

Our trip to Au and NZ started in Sydney with our cruise ship The Marina by Oceania Cruise Line docked at the wharf by The Rocks. I had done a lot of travel research and knew to wander around The Rocks. We spent a morning enjoying the architecture and bridge views and having a coffee in a French Bistro while waiting to board the ship. Glad we explored this area before we got started on harbor ferries. This was March 14 and when we returned to Sydney for 5 days in April, we spent our last morning in The Rocks before driving to the airport. Lovely to have the old original Sydney so close. A great deal of new construction with a casino and "6" star hotel being developed on the other side of The Rocks going into Darling Harbor. Certainly hope it will not take away from the quaintness of this area.
