“What a welcome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2014

We arrived at Sydney on a Saturday and as our apartment was 200 metres from Darling harbour , we made a bee line for the bars!
A great location , with breathtaking vistas all around. We had a great meal at one of the fan restaurants and watched the sun set over the epic skyscraper skyline.
The area seemed to fill pretty quickly one it got dark and we soon realised why..... A massive free fireworks show erupted and lit up the night. Must have gone on for 40mins with booms of cheers and applause at the end. Apparently it happens every Saturday night! Only in Sydney eh...... Great.

“Beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2014

We stayed about 5 mins walk from the harbour and kept going back to visit as it was so lovely!! Great views, shops, bars and restaurants! I loved the little train which took you from one end of the harbour to the other (only $5), which was great as every now and again the driver would stop and give you some information about what was going on etc. I had probably the best steak I have ever eaten in the Angus steakhouse there, and I wasn't the only one of our party to say that!

“Perfect area to spend a family day!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2014

Fantastic area with plenty to do. Our family enjoyed taking a break to play at the fun playground. The shops in the harbour area are great, too. Safe and affordable family fun - loved it!

“Wonderful place to visit and stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2014

We were staying in a hotel in the centre of Darling Harbour so we spent a few days here exploring. We absolutely loved it as it's got everything! Wonderful bars and restaurants serving different types of foods from all over the world, cafe's, aquarium to mention just a few things to do. We caught a few harbour cruises from here too which was so convenient especially with a 2 yr old. The shops here aren't too bad but I wouldn't just come here to go shopping. Everyone seemed friendly and helpful. It doesn't take long to walk to Sydney CBD from here. We loved Darling Harbour so much, we booked into another hotel for the last few days of our holiday as we felt we had more exploring to do! Definitely worth a visit if you are in Sydney!
