The State Library is a beautiful building and is packed with classical, old-library shelves packed with books of all sizes, shapes and colours. For the tourist, the attraction would be a nice quiet place to sit and relax, and the free WIFI that is available through the Library. Be aware that the Mitchell room does not allow large bags (although women's handbags are allowed?) and that storage is charged. As a place to hang out and connect with the world, the café at the Library was excellent – it is called Café Trim and is reviewed separately. The State Library is worth a visit in its own right, and is a handy resource for tourists who want to connect with home.
