“Awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

The location of this hotel takes your breath away. With the bridge on one side, the opera house across the bay, in the eclectic Rocks district with a walkway along the water past the cruise terminal to Circular Quay and around to the opera house, it was very convenient. The staff and service was the best we have ever had! All of this added to our trip to an amazing city.

Its true...I've stayed at all the major five star hotels in Sydney and nothing comes close to the Park Hyatt, either in quality of the property or the service standards. Four Seasons, Shangri-La, Marriott, and the Hilton are all high rise glass towers with no balconies or even opening windows, which is definitely not what Sydney should be about.

The Park Hyatt has possibly one of the best locations of any hotel anywhere in the world. At the far end of the historic Rocks district, the building hugs the shoreline with the majestic harbour bridge behind and the iconic and beautiful Sydney Opera House in direct line of sight, at least for the rooms in the front row. However, even if your room looks out over the Circular Quay area, you will still have a fascinating view. Most importantly, The Park Hyatt Sydney is a low rise hotel, designed to blend into its environment and constructed of Sydney sandstone. All the rooms have good size balconies and you can safely leave the doors open and sleep to the sounds of the sea and harbourside outside.

I had not visited the Park Hyatt Sydney in over three years and I was very impressed by the recent extensive renovations. Clearly, nothing was spared to maintain the property as the absolute number one choice in Sydney. Yes, it is expensive but if you're going to pay 5 Star prices in Sydney, its worth the little extra to get a room at The Park Hyatt with a great view. Even if you only stay here once, you won't regret it...but if you're like me, the place becomes addictive and you will reach the same conclusion...there is really is nowhere else to stay in Sydney.

We are from Sydney and decided on a weekend in the city. We spent Australia Day long weekend at the Park Hyatt and all I can say is wow!
The view is nothing short of amazing...we had the bridge on one side and the opera house in front of us. The room was large and beautiful. The bathroom's bath overlooked the view and the heated toilet seats were an added extra!
Everything about this place was beyond our expectation. The staff were fantastic, access to the restaurant, pool and harbourside were easy. It is the perfect location of Sydney in my opinion. This is probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in and have been to some nice ones around the world. It has it all - gorgeous views, close to restaurants, shopping, The Rocks, Opera House, bars & clubs. If we stay in the city again, this is the only place that I would consider.

If you are not from Australia and want to do Sydney 'right', this is the way to do it. To be clear, this is a VERY expensive hotel, but the view, service and hotel are second to none. The hotel did a refurb last year and it even smells new. The only downside is the small gym, but with the great outdoors and the bridge climb only a few meters away, you'll live. I highly recommend doing a show at the Opera house. Best in class....

We were celebrating a special and significant anniversary. This was the perfect location. Very very expensive but soooo worth it. The staff were exceptional in their attention to detail. Our beds being turned back after a concert and night out was a lovely gesture. Breakfast was ordinary but was compensated by everything else.
Sitting on our balcony with a bottle of champagne overlooking the Opera House and Circular Quay was something I will never forget.
Thank you Hyatt

We spent three nights here for our pre and post wedding stay.
Amazing service, staff, room, views, location, food, atmosphere everything is fantastic.
It is expensive but you would expect that from such a luxurious hotel with staff that attend to your every request and the location is unbeatable.

We have been staying at this beautiful hotel for many years and this was our second stay since the hotel completed it's renovations. We chose to stay here for the last night our Oz/NZ holiday and very glad that we did.

Arrived by car at the hotel about 2PM to be greeted by name - how did they do that? Several familiar faces on reception and we were shown to our room to be checked in. While that was happening our bags arrived along with wine and chocolate. We had been given a King Deluxe with Harbour views. The room had two balconies and I struggled to convince my wife to leave them!

As always every member of staff knew our name and some recalled us from previous visits. We had dinner in the Dining Room which was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our last night spent overlooking Sydney Harbour.

Breakfast the next morning was excellent and once again more familiar faces. Even though the restaurant got very busy the service was personal and timely.

Can't hesitate to recommend the Park Hyatt Sydney.

Room Tip: The Opera or Harbour view rooms are the best.
