“Great room, central location and attentative staff”

An upgrade to the 12th floor corner suite was worth it for the view and sunshine streaming in through the windows. Had trouble with the room key ( as I have each time I have stayed there) which results in a 10 minute wait for the lifts and 10 minutes at reception at peak time but overall great stay in a nice clean room with mega comfortable king bed .

Im an Accor Member but I didnt feel like 1 staying here. It wasnt bad but it wasnt Accor Standard as well. Booked in a family package room, reservations told me unfortunately we dont have any rooms available for that package, 10 minutes later I managed to book it online myself. Arriving there at the front desk was told 1 thing by reservations and the young girl at the front desk told me something else, didnt even point me to the lifts or tell me how the carpark worked. The room is nice but im sorry, no room to walk around the room. Bathroom is good showers over tubs are so 80's. Internet, how can they charge these prices? WiFi would be a great addition to this hotel. Its highway robbery the prices they charge. If Mercure Charlestown can offer free WiFi why cant you. Last but not least please reception staff do me a favor and acknowledge your customers waiting in line after you have served a customer. Staff kept walking past after they had served whilst 2 of us were waiting in line. A simple smile and a "just 1 moment, I shall be with you in a minute" goes a long way in world class customer service.

Fine stay. The room was clean enough, I was unlucky enough to receive an unrenovated bathroom. It'll be great when they're all done. Great location above central, but a bit too far if you wanted to walk to town. Service was at the normal level I expect when I stay at hotels like this. Rooms were well priced for the nights on stayed on.

The chair in our room had white marks on it that when rubbed came out, so was not cleaned correctly. On booking the hotel i stated we required a baby cot, when it was delivered was squeezed through the door while upright leaving marks on the wall, then thrown into the corner. Your employees pager then when off so he proceeded to just throw the sheets into the bed, did not make it at all and ran out the door.

There where no tea or coffee facilities in the room. Apart from that the stay at the Mecure in George St, Sydney was pleasant. The location was right near Central station. Close by to China Town Hay St. The staff where pleasant and very helpful especially in relation to guiding you around the city & what transport.
