“Fabulous staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

The staff here make you feel more than welcome, are very friendly and the hotel is right in the middle of the CBD shopping district - literally a few metres from your door is shopping heaven! Stay on the 17th floor was very quiet. I will return to this chain of hotels.

For a long weekend away, we wanted a weekend of undulgence. We got exactly that! I can not recommend the Day Spa enough! It totally made our trip. The staff were friendly, fast and happy to help. The concierge staff knew the good places to go and did a great job in directing us. I have stayed here previously for business, for this trip, we came back for pleasure. I hope to return soon!

Our family stayed here and found the service fantastic. The staff really couldn't do enough for us. The room we stayed in was comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was well appointed and very clean. The hotel was within walking distance to Darling Harbour and conveniently located to get around the city with ease.

I admit we booked during the New Year celebrations so the hotel was probably at capacity but even still we paid a premium and got anything but during our stay. It was very expensive and very average, if they hike the prices then the quality of the rooms need to be of a standard. On the plus side the hotel is located nice and central-ish.

We had a great stay here. The staff and service were fabulous and it is in a great location. We had an executive club room which was large and had a lovely bathroom. The beds are comfortable, the linen and towels are nice and it has a nice pool area. My only comment would be that the rooms do not look like 5 star hotel rooms. They were very bland and looked more like a 31/2 or 4 star chain hotel room in the usa. I saw 3 rooms whilst I was there and they were all the same. All it needs is to get a quality designer on board and inject some luxe into it. Nothing structural needs to be changed, just upgrade the furnishings and colour schemes. The executive club has well worth it - nice breakfast and drinks and canapes in the evening. Would I stay here again? Maybe. If it was for a business trip definitely yea. If it was for something more special (or romantic) then not until they upgrade the rooms. With more attractive rooms this would be my favourite hotel in Australia after the Crown Towers and Crown Metropol.

Room Tip: Upgrade to an executive club room.

I love to stay at the Swissotel when in Sydney because of the friendly service, large rooms and bathroom and the location in the central CBD makes it ideal site to see the sights. It is adjacent to the landmark Centrepoint Tower and the Queen Victoria Building and easy walking distance from Darling Harbour, Powerhouse Museum, Hyde Park and the Opera House. The fitness centre and pool provide welcome therapy after a heavy day of work or sightseeing.
