“Perfect location, helpful staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights around New Years Eve and it was a great experience. From the moment we checked in we felt very welcome by the staff, they helped us a lot. We had a room on the 30th floor facing the botanical gardens, the bed was large and very comfortable, there was good storage and the décor was really nice and tastful. Complimentary tea and coffe was stocked daily. The bathroom had a small window that could be opened, a funny detail. The pool at the top floor had great views of the Sydney Opera house and the bridge, they also have a fully equipped gym. The location is the best, right at the heart of Circular Quay so you can easily get everywhere you want by ferries, train or bus, or by foot. The only negative I can think of is that internet is a bit expensive. All in all I can highly recommend this hotel.

“Fanastic location but even better staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

I recently stayed here with my wife for a short getaway for our wedding anniversary. The Intercontinental Sydney is in a fantastic position walking distance to all major destination of Sydney with beautiful views of the harbour.

Our stay wouldn't have been as amazing as it was if it wasn't for the staff. From check in to check out hands down the best, most friendly and enthusiastic staff that I have come across from all my travels. They went above and beyond their duty to ensure that our stay was one to remember and I thank them for everything they did.

“Good Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

I enjoyed staying in this hotel. It was across from the Botanical Gardens and walkable to the ferry, opera house, and convenient to restaurants. The services was very good as well as the breakfast. We were in Sydney for only four days and would recommend staying a little longer. A wonderful hotel in a great city!

“Great hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here for 3 nights on the last leg of our Sydney trip. Have stayed at many hotels in this city including the shangri la just along the quay, we can't decide which one is better out of the two but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The staff were all very helpful and welcoming. Our king room on the 17th floor was spacious and comfortable and was supposed to be a city view room so didn't expect much but we were lucky to get a view of the botanical gardens which was a lovely surprise! We had breakfast included in our rate which was a delicious buffet breakfast and were spoilt for choice what to eat each morning. The pool on the 31st floor is small but ample and provides amazing views over the harbour of the opera house and harbour bridge, got some great photos from up there. We enjoyed our stay so much we wished we were staying longer and will hopefully return here when we next visit Sydney!

“Great Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

This is a fantastic hotel for anyone visiting sydney. The rooms are spacious and the location is perfect being right near Circular Key. .

We had a city view room and whilst the room was very nice I think the rooms could do with a soft refurbishment and being a 5 star hotel, a shower over the bath isnt what you would come to expect.

This is possible different in the harbour view and club rooms.

The pool is small but the view is amazing and I would highly recommend a splash :)

The club lounge would be amazing as it is on the top floor. Highly recommend to those with the cash to do so.

Room Tip: Chose a club room if possible as room and club lounge look amazing.
