We stayed at the Hyde Park Inn for three nights. It is comfortable, well appointed and good value for money. The simple breakfast suited us well. It has a convenient location close to the CBD, opposite a park and with easy access to the airport. We found the front desk staff helpful and friendly. Our only real criticism is of the poor quality of the servicing of the room during our stay. The beds were not made properly and the room was not cleaned properly either. Despite this, we would stay there again.

Just completed a 4 day stay. It was my first time at the Hyde Park Inn and wasnt disappointed. Reception were excellent from the time of making the reservation over the phone to time of check out. Greatly appreciated their assistance with my stay, well done to everyone.
I managed to secure a 4 day special rate which made the stay great value for money..free continental breakfast and free parking (unheard of in Sydney).We stayed on the 12th floor, room was recently refurbished with an excellent kitchen and delightful bathroom (it is small however everything was clean and near new with a shower recess with body soap/shampoo but no conditioner). The view was stunning over Hyde park and the memorial..we also had a small balcony which is an added bonus to soak up the city atmosphere. Rooms were very clean and had everything you need for your stay including a small dining table. Only disappointment is you have to pay for internet..not cheap at $22 per day or $11 per hour, however on the positive side at least I didnt waist time reading endless emails and checking websites..I used to the time to explore Sydney and enjoy some wonderful sites and restaurants.
The apartment style Hotel is very centrally located with the Museum station entrances just around the corner or diagonally opposite...the line will take you to Circluar Quay(The Rocks and Harbour area, Townhall (access to Darling Harbour) and Central station with connection to the domestic and international airports. It is also opposite the truly wonderful Hyde Park and the small war memorial (a hidden treasure) which is free to enter and a must when visiting Sydney. You are close by to many restaurants as you are only a short walk away from the World Centre which has a Coles super market, JB HI Fi, Price line Chemist and many eateries. You can easily walk to Darling Harbour and China Town both about 10 to 12 mins away.Being on Elizabeth St (2 way) you have easy access to taxis and local buses. Just a note of warning..the parking is very tight and even though you are allocated a space upon arrival, your car may move while staying at the hotel as they need to adjust due to other car sizes and size of parking space...(you leave your keys with them at reception). I didnt use my car at all during the stay.
There is no restaurant with the Hotel however you can access Mazzaro next door with a 10% discount available to dine in.The Hotel has a private entrance to the Restaurant and you can also order room service. The food and service is excellent.Disabled access is excellent at the hotel for entry into and throughout Hotel. 2 lifts available one of which goes to parking area.

Have to agree with all the other reviews - superb location, great service, great value, quiet spacious room, views across the park, continental breakfast a bonus, very nice Italian restaurant next door, coffee shops and conveniencence stores just steps away.

We had a good size room for 3 adults, which had two double beds, kitchen area (small continential breakfast provided), balcony overlooking the park and for four nights amounted to $926. Also, free laundry good stairs. It's location was very central and all the main attractions within easy walking distance. Also, nearest station only about 200 meters away.
