Looked like a budget hotel with nothing to offer in the room.
No slippers, toothbrush, bad TV channels among others.
Expensive. Definitely no value for money.
Room was not made up.
Will not return for sure.

This Ibis hotel is exactly what I expected - nothing fancy, but a comfortable stay with good service.

The rooms are on the small side, but the beds are comfortable and the furnishings are modern. As a solo traveller the size of the room was fine, but it could be a bit of a tight squeeze with two people.

The location is fantastic; it's a 15 minute walk to the Opera House, and just a few minutes to all the shops on Pitt Street.

I didn't get chance to eat at the restaurant, but it looked inviting with meal specials and a nice outdoor dining area.

As others have mentioned, there is no complimentary wifi in the rooms. Australia is really behind on this in comparison to Europe and US; I wouldn't even expect it in most 5* hotels here, unfortunately.

As Ibis's go it is average. You know what you are getting when you purchase although they do vary somewhat in size of room and bathrooms across Sydney. This one is fair on those counts. On "special" they are a reasonable accommodation standby. Location good and adjacent to many accessible attractions.

The location overlooking Darling Harbour is brilliant. The hotel is in need of complete refurbishment. It is poor value as Sydney become increasingly expensive for overseas visitors with the exchange rates and inflated prices. I did not eat breakfast at the hotel as facilities poor and much better restaurants on the harbour just five minutes walk.

Room Tip: I suspect all rooms are the same. If so they are of poor quality

Stayed at Ibis on a business trip. The location is great and my room had a nice view of the harbour. Staff is friendly and helpful and rooms are clean and well-maintained (but on the small side). My complaint has to do with the food and Internet service. Breakfast selections were very poor and the price was very expensive. No excuse for watery eggs and nasty sausage when so many other breakfast places get it right. But the real issue is Internet access. Super expensive, $22.50 for 24 hours AND data limited. The cap is 1 GB, which is probably enough for most people. But after 200 MB of traffic have been reached, the connection is severely throttled rendering it almost unusable. Of course you have the option to pay additional even more insane fees to keep "high speed" access for your full 1 GB allotment. This is really inconvenient and unfair, and makes it very difficult to use this hotel on an extended business trip. I found myself spending time planning how to best use my precious 200 MB every day, what a waste of time.
