“Special weekend in Sydney”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

We stayed at Ibis Hotel-Darling Harbour, when we visited Sydney to attend a concert- Nora Jones. Position was excellent . Very close to Prymont Bridge and a beautiful walk across took us to the Wharf or into town. (Also home from State theatre- concert) . IVery convenient and enjoyable. Also very close to Monorail which we used several times for seeing sights. Each morning we had a buffet breakfast at the Hotel and one night of our stay we had a light dinner meal I can recommend the Fish and Chips. (I Bar- Hotel Restaurant) Reception Staff were courteous and helpful and room had everything we needed- thank you.- New beds(advertised) worked well for restful nights' sleep.

The Hotel was very close to the Monorail which was a wonderful way to travel to the City and to other sightseeing places. The Bus stop was out the side of the Hoetel and very close to the Maritime Museum. The Hotel Reception were very helpful and it is a clean and safe Hotel for travellers whether travelling alone or with others.

Warm welcome from reception on arrival. Room was ready early which was a bonus. Well equipped room which had been recently refurbished. Bed was amazing! The staff without exception are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice from cereals to breads to a full cooked english style. Cannot fault the place. Great location overlooking Darling Harbour.Stayed 4 nights before heading elsewhere and returned to the sister hotel on World Square.

Room Tip: Harbour view if you can

This was a last minute booking - very comfortable hotel - centrally located to Darling Harbour with access into the city.

Room overlooked Murray Street - was surprisingly quiet, room was nice and dark and shower was very good - water pressure on 7th floor was excellent.

We found breakfast ok - there seemed to be enough food to chose from and the restaurant overlooks the City and Darling Harbour.

I agree that the parking is expensive - but this is common all over Sydney CBD these days.

Will stay there again - very happy.

Did not find the breakfast good value for money. Service was good but the breakfast buffet is disappointing. Apart from that we had a pleasant stay at the Ibis. Would stay with them again minus the breakfast buffet.
