Business travel again - the hotel knows how to look after business travellers. Great recommendation for a local hairdresser, and very flexible when I was stranded due to the haze in Singapore.

I do wish Australian hotels wouldn't charge so much for wifi - it's the norm elsewhere in APAC to get it for free!!!

We have just spent a night at the Four Seasons.. We're originally from Sydney but have decided to pamper ourselves with a nice night out for our wedding anniversary, so we booked into this nice hotel and it was definitely a good choice!

We've made dinner reservations at Aria, so the hotel was really convenient for us, just a 10 minute walk along the water towards the Opera House. The service was impeccable, everyone was so attentive to details and polite. It was a rainy weekend so we had umbrellas from the hotel, all which were patted dry (impressive considering other hotels just hands off wet umbrellas from guests who had just come in to the guests who are planning on heading out.

The hotel is also just off to the Rocks, only a few minutes away, which is also quite handy!

We stayed in one of the nicer rooms with a view of both the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, so we have nothing to complain about our views. The rooms came with a neat little expresso machine, and plenty of drinks selections.

The only downside to the room was the television - channels keep getting distrupted with no signal... but thankfully, we didn't spend that much time in the room for that.

All in all, great location, great views (although you would have to pay for it- but its well worth it!) and definitely attentive staffs! Would look at going back again hopefully!

I stayed last week for 3 nights in a full harbour view room which was absolutely incredible. I found all the staff at the hotel very pleasant and happy to help. My only issue with the hotel was the quality of the room service food. I ordered a spanner crab tagliatelle one night which was incredibly dry, and another night the steamed fish which came with 2 metal shavings that I had to complain about. I did revive an apology phone call that night and the following evening I returned to my room to a note form the room service manager with a box of macaroons, but when I checked out I was disappointed to find the meal still on my account! I really thought I a hotel of this calibre that I would have been refunded without me having to ask. Thankfully the lovely girl at reception refunded me without a second look.
The bed, although huge was not dry comfortable and the pillows awful. But the rooms overall, the wonderful quality of the room amenities, the view, all can be forgiven. I would not order from room service again if I was to stay again however.

Great hotel and the location is central to cities activities. The hotel resturant serves a great steak and the bar lounge plays great music and has an excellent staff. The hotel staff is very attentive and nice.

Great location, but I feel like it's seen better days. The hotel as a whole is beautiful, but the room we got (and this was after an upgrade) was rather old. The bed was okay but the pillow was some of the worst I've ever had to sleep on in a high-end hotel, the AC was also rather creaky and made strange noises at times and overall the room just felt old.

Breakfast buffet was one of the best I've come across in Australia even if pricy for what you get (this is Sydney after all).

I stayed here for a sentimental reason. It was The Regent of Sydney and was the 7th best hotel in the world in the 80s.

Today it is far from the best. Stayed in a de luxe room with full harbor view. That was VERY GOOD. I had the Opera House and the Harbor Bridge as my view.

The room is still good, but it seemed that they do not now pay attention to details. The glass door of the shower stall does not close well and water goes outside of the shower. I was looking for bedroom slippers and didn't find any. The buffet breakfast was so-so.

I had expected more from what was once Sydney's best. Oh, how time flies.

Room Tip: Get a full harbor view room. That is the reason for being in this hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel (TheWoods) is amazing. The coffee is delicious! The location is very convenient, steps to The Rocks, Museum of Contemporary Art, Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Ferries. Walk to Darling Harbor and RBG. The staff is friendly and the view of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge are beautiful. We got an amazing rate for a hotel of this quality. L'Occitane toiletries are always a great treat. The gym is pretty spacious and well equipped.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the Harbour. We were close to the elevators but there was no noise at...
