On first appearance the hotel looks quite impressive, as we knew from
the start this was a budget hotel, this was not to be expected. Our room was spacious, clean and tidy, although a little dated. My one gripe is the room we were staying in was at the front of the hotel and was very noisy due to the traffic...don't forget your ear plugs! I thought I could live with it and I did but if I were staying any longer I would have had to move rooms.
The location of the hotel is okay, it is about a 20 minute walk to the city or you could walk to Kings Cross Station and get the train which is what we did a number of times. Be warned though some may find it uncomfortable with the short walk to the station due to it being the red light district and having to walk past a number of unsavoury characters. The hotel is more towards Potts Point and there
are quite a few nice restaurants around the corner. Apart from the noise which aggravated me the rooms were cleaned daily and to a good standard. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
Would I stay again? Possibly, for the price I paid I thought it was okay however I would first look at other hotels closer to the center of Sydney. I would recommend this to people on a budget but ensure you do not get a room at the front o f the building.
