We decided at the last minute to stay somewhere really nice in central Sydney - and ended up going for the Shangri-la at The Rocks. It was a great choice. First, they were really helpful in providing the best available booking for two adults and two children in the one room. They were certainly a lot more helpful that some other places that claim to be family friendly (Qut and Meriton come to mind) who would make you get two separate rooms due to bizarre booking restrictions that limit rooms to two adults and one child only. Second - the room, which was on the 24th floor - had a wonderful view of all of Sydney Harbour, the Opera House and the Bridge. And third, the service and the way the room was made up each day and evening was lovely. Al in all, you certainly get what you pay for. A great experience and we will be back again!
