“Nice place for a one night stop over. ”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed today NEW

Room was very small, though clean and well appointed. View was quite spectacular from the 41st floor. Staff were very professional and polite.
Breakfast the next morning on level 2 was extremely disappointing. Table needed cleaning, waited forever for a coffee only for it to be cold. Certainly not worth $80.00 each for a buffet breakfast.

The Hilton Sydney sits in a great location on George St across from the Queen Victoria building, Sydney Town Hall, and St. Paul's Cathedral. Property is walking distance to Darling Harbour and Circular Quay as well as the botanical gardens. Service at the hotel is great. Only complaint... The beds are HARD!

We travel to Sydney from Country NSW for Cancer Treatment at St Vincent's. The Sydney Hilton is a wonderful place to stay with excellent amenities and above all very kind and caring staff that go out of their way to help you. The Sydney Hilton is a great place to relax and enjoy room service. The steak was the beast I've ever eaten and I've eaten a lot of steak all around Australia. I like my steak well done and it is a testament to the chefs skill as a culinary expert when they can produce a well done 300 gram steak that is not burnt not hard and melts in the mouth through to the last bite. Just thinking about it I need another Hilton steak right now!

The hotel has a very convenient location and very conveniently located next Tetsuya's, one of the world's best restaurants. The staff were all enthusiastic and extremely friendly and cheerful. The rooms were very modernly furnished and I believe the restaurant must have been recently renovated. However, the rooms tend to be extremely small, even for a city hotel and there are certain furnishings that I feel could have been better thought through for the benefit of travellers.

As a Hilton Diamond member, I was upgraded to an Executive Hilton room. However, I was very surprised by the size of the room. It reminded me of my studio apartment as an underrgraduate. It was also very cluttered for such a small room. Thankfully, Catherine was exceptionally helpful and managed to change my room. The suites are far more satisfactory.

Some things to point out:
1. The power outlets in all the rooms only accept Australia appliances. For a business hotel, I would have expected them to be furnished with international power outlets that accept appliances from all countries, which is usually the case in the Hilton hotels that I usually frequent elsewhere. Every room is furnished with one international travel adaptor, which helps, but I feel is insufficient for today's traveller who would need to recharge his mobile phone, laptop, iPad etc all at night at the same time.
2. The toilet in my suite was dirty and I had to flush it first. Small thing but an oversight that I've rarely encountered through my international travels.
3. The staff provided a humidifer at my request but failed to fill it with water! The person who brought it up didn't know how to refill it and I had to call for service again.

Room Tip: Be happy with small rooms unless you are willing to pay for a suite. In your reservation, ask for ex...

Was very excited to stay at the Hilton for 2 nights and was expecting a beautiful luxury hotel but was disappointed. Although reception was beautiful our room felt very outdated and stuffy. Tv in the shower was a weird place to splurge their money. Good location and staff though.

Stayed here recently on a business trip. Location is very good, 1 minute walk from Town Hall station and around 15 minute walk to The Rocks and Sydney Harbour.
The hotel foyer is impressive and welcoming. Hotel staff are pleasant, helpful and plentiful.
The room was very nice - I was upgraded from standard. Good standard of fittings and a good size (for a UK person!). Work desk was decent size and good to have. Views were very good. Breakfast was excellent though a bit expensive at 38 dollars. You can have as much as you like though so perhaps that explains the price.
Worth the price and the stay
