“Disappointing.”

After years of enjoying the Hilton Sydney, we were dissatisfied with the past few nights. Sadly the small rooms are showing signs of wear and tear and are outdated. The beds are not as comfortable as they should be. Noise levels in the rooms are uncomfortable, particularly on a Friday night when the nightclub below throws off a bevy of base beats. Admittedly the staff were kind in moving us to a marginally quieter room at 12.30am.
One of the main reasons for us to stay here is Luke's flag ship restaurant - it was frustrating to note that the Glass Brasserie was closed 2 nights of our 3 night stay due to private functions.
On a good note, the location is second to none, breakfast is generous and tasty and the gymnasium, although open to the public is well appointed.

Room Tip: If staying on a Friday night, ask to be on the opposite side to the Zeta Nightclub.

We had a beautiful stay it was a treat for our 18 year old daughter and the experience was something to truly remember. Always nice to stay in the City at such a fantastic location central to everything, only wish our stay was longer. Comfy beds, very clean rooms with all the bells & whistles that one could ask for, exuberant! loved it!

From the time we arrived til the time we checked out we were treated as V.I.Ps.The staff were extremely helpful.The Room was compact but had everything needed and the Bed was very comfortable.We had breakfast in the Glass and the Staff were brilliant.

We booked an Executive Club Room which was execptional value for money. It included evening Drinks and Canapes and Breakfast. After the evening Drinks and Canapes there was no need to go out for Dinner as the food and Drinks were more than sufficient. The service was impeccable in this Hotel. Every single staff member could not do enough for you to make your stay comfortable. The location is fantastic, close to Shops, Restaurants, Transport so you can walk everywhere. We also had Breakfast on our last Morning in Glass, which was beautiful in a lovely setting. We also visited the Marble Bar and Zeta Lounge on both evenings, which depdning on the Night, catered for all age groups. We came in a group of eight and this is the first time that we stayed at the Hilton for our annual trip to Sydney and we will definitely be returning next year.

I have stayed at many hotels in Sydney and expected alot more from Hilton Hotel than this. Hotel stayers BEWARE!! The reception staff were rude and condescending, the hospitality staff were very unhelpful when we needed assistance, the hallways were so noisy it was like there are no walls! We could hear everything going on outside! and even though we paid for the room in cash, they still had to place a hold on the credit card which still has not come back into our account after checking out 7 days ago!! Definitely will not stay at this hotel again! Overpriced and we did not get what we paid for!

As a Hilton Diamond member i would of expected more from the Hilton Sydney. Checked in on Friday morning and was given a standard room, no upgrades available so i took the first room i could get. The standard rooms are very small and i feel the rooms are already starting the age slightly. TV is tiny and cheap, the beds are 2 x single beds put together, very uncomfortable. The biggest issue is trying to get back into the hotel after 10.30pm. As i approached the Hilton on George i noticed both front entrances were closed, i was forced to walk around the side only to see about 50 people trying to all get into the Zeta bar with a huge security presence.
Most patrons seemed drunk and out of it. For the average tourist or holiday maker staying at this hotel i found the presence quite itimidating. I mentioned this to the front desk and all i recieved was smirks and apologies. The reality is the Hilton need to decide are they catering for patrons staying at the hotel or are they chasing the nightclub dollar. Either way i will not be staying at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney every again.

Room Tip: Dont get the cheapest room as you will be very disapointed.

We greatly appreciate your loyalty to the Hilton Brand, as a valued Hilton Honors Diamond Member, and we sincerely regret that upgrades were unavailable on this occasion, as these are subject to availability and dependent upon hotel occupancy levels. I have also taken your feedback on board in relation to the quality of your guestroom and it is through such views and opinions that we can monitor if we are meeting guests’ needs and expectations.

I was sorry to learn of your displeasure pertaining to the queue outside the hotel for Zeta Bar during your stay and we do apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Hilton Sydney’s bars (Marble bar and Zeta Bar) are of course open to the public and are both popular venues with the city crowd in Sydney. Whilst these outlets are open to members of the public and hotel guests alike, we will review our operating procedures and assess the impact of the current queuing structure on our hotel entrances, especially for our hotel guests, and we thank you for your constructive feedback. I have also relayed your comments to our Front Office Manager to address with the Reception team, regarding the manner in which they handled your feedback at the time.

I do hope you will consider returning to Hilton Sydney in future and once again, thank you for your review.

4 nights stay in end of July 2013 till beginning of Aug 2013

Right smack in front of QVB, Very good location, easy access to all the attractions.

Hotel is busy everyday, nice café in the lobby "caffe chino". Serves superb coffee.

Rooms are kinda small, LCD in the shower is not functioning well but bed is very comfortable.

Some how I am not very happy with the high tech in room bar system, just a gentle lift of the item and I will automatically charged to you bill. Readers in TA need to take note of this system.

No idea of the buffet breakfast as we didn't take up the breakfast package. Not to worry, 1 mins walk from the hotel is a nice take away café espresso workshop, serve nice coffee and breakfast.

Conclusion, very nice location, worth staying and I will definitely stay back in Hilton Sydney.
