Owner description: A cliff top coastal walk, the Bondi to Coogee walk extends for six km in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. The walk features stunning views, beaches, parks, cliffs, bays and rock pools. The beaches and parks offer a place to rest, swim or a chance to eat at one of the cafes, hotels, restaurants or takeaways. All beaches offer picnic shelters, electric barbecues, play areas, kiosks, toilets and change-rooms. The walk is not difficult, there are medium gradient paths and several staircases with occasional seating. It takes about two hours to complete the Bondi to Coogee Beach section of the walk and another hour and a half if you choose to continue to Maroubra.

“First thing to do if you hike”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

Everyone wants to see Bondi Beach but if you like to walk, take 2-3 hours to walk the coastal trail from Coogee to Bondi to see what Aussie's love most about their country. Photo ops galore! In mid October don' t miss the amazing Scultures by the Sea event,

“don't go on a sunday!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

it was like being at a cattle mart or in a queue at christmas!the path is so narrow that you can't pass out the old biddys or people who insist on stopping every 3 yards to take a photo.. we got fed up and went walking on the road instead!

“You can't do better”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

This walk is best done by day to take in unparalleled beach and ocean vistas. It also boasts an international competition of Art by the Sea, with serious or whimsical sculptures displayed along the route. It winds up and down, with not many steps, and takes about an hour to do if walking briskly. But you'll want to stop - often - to admire the view or take in the sight of whales breaching offshore.

Love this walk. Done it both ways and it never fails to surprise. Stop at Bronte for a brew. Lovely.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

Being from the States, all I could do is relate it to something I know, so if you think Big Sir and the California coast is beautiful, you will love this walk. A winding coast walking path from the edge of popular Bondi beach to the quaint town of Bronte that takes about 2 hours to wander, the walk features beaches, parks, and spectacular coast views overlooking the splashing waves on the rocky shore. Don't miss it!!!
