“Lovely food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

We visited this tiny restaurant twice when we were staying at the B and B next door. The food is freshly cooked and of an excellent standard, with friendly service. It is very good value for money by Sydney standards.

“Excellent value for excellent food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013 via mobile

Two people with starter and desert and tea for under $50! The food was amazing! The service is very friendly. It is tight quarters and drink selections are limited so maybe bring your wine. This place is awesome!

“Nice, small restaurant.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

Located in a quiet spot a couple blocks from the bustle of Darlinghurst Road, and a block from the Bayswater Hotel. Very good food, a couple outdoor tables. Service when I was there was a bit slow but I think there was only one waitress and they were busy. Recommend. PS: There are more than two seats.

“Yummy 3-course dinner with a voucher”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

We dined here using a Groupon voucher and really enjoyed the food and the service. It's a quaint little place, tucked away from the main street. The decor is cozy and it feels just like being in Thailand. We were served by a pregnant lady and both her and the female manager were both accomodating and very nice. They have a couple of tables outside. If you're driving there, and aren't planning on spending more than an hour or two at the Cross, just try parking in front of the restaurant as there are many 1&2 P spots. TIP: just wait in the car and someone will pull out!
We had a mixed entree which was delicious: the chicken satay was made with a whole chicken tender and it was juicy and tasty, the money bags were fresh and home-made. For mains we had two different type of curries: one green and one panang, and they were both fragrant and full of flavor. For dessert, we had the sticky rice with mango and it was fresh and nice, the only downer was perhaps the sticky rice which was made with the purple rice (which I love), however it wasn't fully cooked and soft. Otherwise the meal was excellent and we saw other diners happily enjoying their meals as well so it's a nice joint to return to.
