If you're looking for a great honest meal: this is the right place. Good choice in sausages and mash. Great drinks and good service.

“Bang On!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

Smoky Beef Texan, Moroccan Lamb & Raisin or maybe Old English Pork. Then comes the mash, am I in the mood for bacon, onion, parmesan or lets just go all out and go Sweet Potato! There are more choices to be made, but you get the idea.

Get to Smash and get your Bang On!

The goat's cheese and onion tart is to die for. The service is personable and efficient. Love the decor. Loved the desserts too!

“Fab - even for a vegetarian!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2012

I was a bit bored of the usual thai/indian/italian options we usually take up on a Saturday night, and spotted this place online and thought it looked a bit quirky - though I am a vego, I checked out the menu on their website before I went and was impressed by the other options.
I went Vegie Sausages, with potato and parmesan mash, mushroom gravy and a side of mushy peas - I wasnt dissapointed - it was delicious! Being greedy, we also went for dessert - they were huge (though some of our friends went for the pudding tasting plate that wasnt as generous). Keeping on the comfort food theme it would be good to see a crumble and custard on the list...(hint hint).
Service was fantastic, attentive but not overbearing, efficient but not rushed - its BYO wine and we were left to finish in our drinks in our own time at the end of the meal.
Will be back - perfect spot for winter, Sunday lunch...give it a go
