Called for lunch after visiting the Pirates event at the National Maritime Museum with our 4 year old grandson. We were attracted by the special kids menu priced AUD 11.50. This included a main course, a soft drink and an ice-cream. The staff were very friendly and child-oriented and quickly produced a double-sided activity sheet and crayons to help pass the time while we waited for our meal. For adults there was a fair selection of light lunches. We were particularly impressed that gluten free bread was available to enable my wife to enjoy a steak sandwich, while I had a skewer of grilled lamb. Both were served with fries. The meat was of good quality and nicely cooked. You expect to pay a premium for a harbour side table so we weren't expecting a cheap meal. However at AUD 70 for the three of us, including a beer, a cider and coffees, we thought it was of reasonable value. We noticed that the staff readily moved furniture to enable babies in pushchairs to be positioned by adult diners, without fuss.
