“Just beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2012

I had dinner at L'etoile a couple of times, and I find the food simply beautiful and the atmosphere of the courtyard very special. The level of service of the staff is second to none. I think their secret is to keep it simple but very classy in those three areas. I find it hard to believe the winghening of the last two reviews: that service took long... I never had to wait an unreasonable time (I think the difference from each meal was more than reasonable!). Plus you want to relax, have a chat and enjoy, take your time!. We had three courses and finished our meal and the whole experience took around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Regarding the complaint of the sizes: you want to leave the restaurant satisfied and with a happy belly. That is how you will leave for sure. If you want HUGE sizes and leave almost sick in the stomach, then you need to go to a pub...! Saturday night is my birthday, and guess where am I celebrating it with hubbie? No need to say that here we are coming. Perfect place..

“Very poor meal”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

Well after looking forward to a meal at Manu's resturant - what a disappointment!
We had bone marrow as an entree - not bad but needed seasoning.
Main courses were poor to say the least. Pork cutlets with crackling. Well the pork was ovecooked and the crackling non existant - you would need a magnifying glass to see it. and Manu - you like sause - this was nearly nonexistant!
A steak dish that tasted very odd - basically stewed in red wine.
Garfish that was so small it did not qualify as an entree and still had the bones and scales!

“Great Atmosphere & Staff”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

My wife and I ate here recently for an Anniversary dinner. The decor is tasteful and smart, the service was attentive, and the restaurant had just the right vibe - not too noicy, not too quiet. The food was nice, but I can't say it was amazing. Serving sizes were fine, and it was nicely cooked. I ordered the steak - and was a little dissapointed expecting a more solid piece of meat with handcrafted chips - what I received was a sliced thinner steak with very tasty french fries, very nice but not inspiring. The waiter was very helpful with the wine choice, even if the prices are very high compared to the bottle shop prices. Overall it was a lovely night, but we aren't sure we would rush back.

“not good enough”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

while the food was just fine, the staff were incredibly arrogant and the interiors were uninspiring.

there are much better options.

“Don't waste your money”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

OK food but overpriced. Ikea furniture and cutlery didn't do much for the flat atmosphere and uninspiring décor. Staff were arrogant and paid little attention to our table. Don't waste your money.
