“No tour guide showed up!!! Waited for half an hour like an idiot.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013 via mobile

Hi everyone!

I have been waiting for half an hour in front of the Customs House for the tour. No one showed up. Shocking. A few people were just sitting around here waiting.

There was nothing on the Peek Tour website to suggest that it isn't happening anymore. I called Greg on his mobile who is the contact person and number on their homepage. of course I got the answering machine. No calls back. Shocking!

Anyway, don't ever bother trying to come to these tours as they are unreliable. I have been to many in Europe and they have been professional and fantastic.

We no longer run the free tour, our tours are now only prepaid and bookings essential. It seems that you may have turned up after we made the transition ( i suspect the first day). Our website (and Trip Advisor) wasn't updated immediately and we do still have some print advertising around the city, so apologies if the change wasn't communicated to you.

If you are ever in Sydney again i would like to offer you a city tour or Rocks Pub Walk gratis. If you cannot make it, i will happily extend the offer to a friend you nominate.

We have tried to make this transition as smooth as possible to avoid situations like this occurring, so hopefully we can make it up to you and apologies once again.

“Excellent Tour of Sydney with a Knowledgeable Guide”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

We met up with our guide Greg in front of the Courthouse Building right by Circular Quay. He started the tour by giving us information on the history, lifestyle, etc. All through the tour Greg maintained a friendly, professional manner which made for a very enjoyable tour. Our kids who are young adults, really enjoyed the information that Greg shared. He answered all questions very patiently and with adequate details. This is a free tour with tips accepted at the end but at no point did I feel that Greg was pushing for it. We landed up giving him a higher tip as we felt the tour was very- very good.

This is a walking tour and appropriate for almost anyone. We stopped for a restroom break where snacks were available for purchase. At the conclusion of the tour (at the Botanical Gardens near the Opera House) Greg stayed on and patiently answered additional questions, suggested things to do, told our kids about some night club options, etc. He marked out destinations on our map which made it easy for us to maneuver the rest of the day.

NOTE -,It's worth stepping inside the Courthouse building as there is a beautiful scaled model of Sydney ... And free wifi! We went inside only because it was raining that morning but were glad we did.

“Everything was fine!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

Everything was fine! The price was normal afterall, because you usually give an adequate amount of bucks as a tipp if you liked the tour - which we did - back in March 2012!
The invention of "free" peek tours in general is quite a useful thing!

The guides usually are young students - so are the visitors.

The group size differs a lot - between maybe only 2 and somestimes > 30 people. It just depends.

I recommend Peek Tours Sydney!

“Great way to see Sydney!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

Peek Tours is a great way to get to know more about Sydney. I have lived in Sydney my whole life and discovered things about this great city I didn't know about. It is a great way to spend part of your day and I would recommend Sydney-siders to take anyone who is visiting them on this tour. As you would learn a thing or two about your own city. Our guide Katherine was great, she has a great love and knowledge of Sydney and her passion of history showed through in the information she provided. She was very willing to assist travellers with suggestions of other attractions in Sydney they might be interested and with directions to get about the city. I think Peek Tours is a great way to see Sydney especially if you are only here for a short stay as you get to see most of the sights while meeting other great people along the way.
