“Really good budget hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

I stayed in a double room. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The common rooms and the kitchen were clean too. Very nice and coloureful environment. Also the terrace on top was really nice. The hotel is really close to the train station and to the 555 bus stop, so it is very easy to reach the city centre.

This hostel is easy to access from the train station.. It is extremely clean, tidy and has a great atmosphere! The staff are very friendly and helpful. I loved this hostel because even the bathrooms are sparkling clean unlike a lot of other hostels that have shared bathrooms. The roof top common area is comfortable and great to meet alike people and the view of the city is awesome from the roof top area! If you like clean and comfortable and pay a bit extra for a great hostel then stay here!

Room Tip: Some rooms have private bathrooms for the room only meaning you don't have to share with so many...

I stayed at this hostel for 2 nights on a last minute trip to Sydney. I really loved it as it was very clean, modern and well run by the staff. You get 30 mins free wifi when you check in. The bathroom facilities were very good for a hostel. I stayed in a 6 bed female dorm and it was spacious, clean and the rooms had lockers. The hostel is just across the road from central station which makes getting around Sydney easy. Would totally stay there again.

A very good Budget Hostel located opposite Central Station. The rooms are bigger than most Hostel rooms and have lockers for security. The TV area upstairs has lots of Comfy bean bags- A good place to sit around and talk to other guests. The location is excellent and within walking distance of all the major shops and restaurants.

The great advantage of Bounce is its proximity to the Central Station Airport Platform - literally a stone's throw, so early morning airport check-ins are a breeze from here. And the huge variety of local restaurant options prior to an early morning flight make this a great choice for a night stop. The place is well set up with everything from multi-bed dormitories to our choice of a Queen Private Room at $149 for the night, room only. The reception staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable and were particularly helpful to overseas visitors we noticed. Good stuff. The accommodation was spotless and modern. The room was perfectly adequate in size and lacked only a hair dryer. On the downside, an additional charge of 2.5% to pay by credit card is simply unacceptable. And Free Wi-Fi is the basic standard these days, not charging usurious rates by the hour. The plumbing was also noisy during the night. On balance, location is the huge benefit of Bounce. There's better value for queen rooms to be found elsewhere in the area. But for genuine backpackers, I'm sure it's perfect.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the building will be quieter, due to the busy road at the front.

Me and my friend stayed here only about 2 days, but I can say that Bounce is pretty comfortable and very recommended.
Bounce can easily be seen right after we alight from Airport Link in Central Station, only need 3-5 mins walk to got there.
We got our room upgraded from Female 7 bedroom to female 4 bedroom, FREE! And we got private bathroom as well.
The hostel was clean, the room was good., all the furnish seems new, the private bathroom was very good, The staff was also helpful and very friendly.
They have this night-out-time for the whole people in hostel, because there was a girl came in to our room and asked us to join them to go to bar together. Unfortunately, at that time my friend was not in a good condition and surely not capabale to join them.

Bounce also close to George st where all the happening things in CBD happen, and also very near to 555 free shuttle bus shelter (next to central station). So I'm quite satisfied with my choice over here.

Room Tip: dorm with private bathroom will be good.

I stayed at Bounce in June with a few of my girlfriends, and we had an amazing experience! Our flight landed at 6am, and we didn't want to have to hall our luggage around, but check in wasn't until 2pm. We went in to Bounce, talked to the friendly staff and they let us store our luggage in the staff room. They also gave us a key in case we wanted to go upstairs and shower, or sleep or watch a movie etc. Through out our 4 day stay, we made wonderful friends with the people staying in the building for that weekend. It felt like being in a Uni Dorm. There was a kitchen on the top floor, multiple rooms with TV's and computers for your use (Wifi was reasonably priced) as well as a balcony that over looks the city. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Being a young woman, staying in a hostel can be sketchy, but Bounce has a NO BOYS IN GIRLS ROOMS policy! Which was very confronting, to both us and our parents. This being my first hostel experience I now have high expectations. Do remember though, it is a HOSTEL, not a HOTEL. Showers, Lockers and other things are provided, but you are required to bring your own towels, locks and things. Makes sense for a hostel though. It is located right across from the train station, with multiple pubs, clubs, and restaurants! A 7eleven and bottle shop right across the street. Everything was kept clean. Bathrooms, TV rooms, regular rooms, the lobby, even the kitchen was kept neat and tidy!
Highly recommend this to be the place you stay when adventuring Sydney!
