“For the price (relative to Sydney, which is a price class all its own)...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2011

Having stayed at numerous Sydney hotels at the under $200 price range, this one had to be the best I've stayed in. I have found that in Sydney, the price doesn't equate to the quality - meaning that $400 for a 5 star can still land you in a dated stuffy dirty closet they call a hotel room. At the Quest, the reception was absolutely inapt and the lobby was gross so I braced myself for the worse. But when I got up to the apt, it was spacious, pleasant, and it 'feels' clean at least. It feels like they've tried. It is a bit noisy at night, but you're in the middle of a city, so it is expected. For the price, it's adequate and dare I say, beyond my expectations. For Sydney.

PROS: The price was good for central Sydney and the kitchen was clean and well laid out. The bathroom was a good size and great pressure in the shower. I asked for a quiet room as high as possible and got the highest they had! Staff walked us up to the road with our suitcases and waved down a taxi for us when we left which was nice touch. Plenty of places to eat nearby and the free circuit bus stop just around the corner.

CONS: Only 1 out 2 lifts worked our entire stay so usually a long wait. The bedroom was an odd shape which was a bit disconcerting and it didn't leave room for bedside tables or reading lights - should always be somewhere to leave watches, reading glasses, books etc. We had a lot of trouble with our swipe card not opening the door on the first attempt - turned into a bit of a game to see who could open it on the least number of attempts!

Overall, a good choice at a reasonable price for Sydney. Would I stay there again? Probably not.

We have just spent two night in a five star hotel, two blocks away in Sydney.
We checked in an hour ago,(in Quest World Square, Sydney), and now realise what a waste of money we spent at the five star. After one hour, carefully checking everything, every aspect of our apaprtment, I cannot praise our room high enough!
Lovely balcony, very comfortable bed, accomodating staff, plenty of room, I actually believe it is cleaner than the five star we stayed at! I also love the clean kitchen items in the cupboards!
I have no hesitiation, (now that I have discovered Quest) to recommend to my personal friends, and online friends...Quest!
From now on, I know we shall be staying at Quest, great value for our money spent, thankyou

We stayed here for one night in January in 2011. While the room was large and clean, the shared spaces of the hotel were smelly and were not airconditioned. For $200+ this was poor value for money compared to what else is available in the area.

Internet connection and parking were very very expensive!!!

Stayed here last month for 3 nights for my birthday. 5 mins walk from the train station and very easy to find. Reception staff very friendly and efficient. The lift was modern and very clean. Upon arrival we were very pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. It was very spacious, clean and the furniture was modern and new. The bathroom was very clean and the pressure in the shower was very good. As advertised there wasn't any view but we didnt expect one being right in the centre of the city. The location of the hotel was perfect. 2 min walk to the best Irish pub in town, where we had an amazing night on the Sunday as there was a `turn` on and they were the best Irish pub band we had seen in ages!!!!!
All in all we had a great stay and would definitely stay there again. Having stayed in several parts of Sydney, ie The Rocks etc... this location is by far the best.

We stayed here for two nights and found the accommodation very comfortable. We assume we were in an accessible apartment (Room 508) because there was a hand rail beside the toilet and a ramp up to the bathroom. There was no lid on the toilet and it was very high (a bit tricky with small children) but we were glad to have the extra space. There was also a large bathroom with no lip on the shower but this meant the water went all over the floor. There were no other features to make the room wheelchair friendly so it seemed a bit token to me. For instance the kitchen and vanity required standing but the room suited our needs very well.

We had a king bed, sofa bed for miss 3 and cot for master 1 (free of charge). They also supply a baby bath and high chair free on request. The beds were all comfortable and warm.

The kitchen was in between the bedroom and lounge where the children slept, It had a decent-sized fridge, and full cooking facilities. We did not find glasses for drinking but there we so many cupboards, we got tired of looking. The large bench space was handy. Having that separation between us and them meant we could do things after the children had gone to bed and even stay in the room while our son had his daytime nap.

There were lots of places to eat and shop around the apartments and it was a 2 min walk to George Street, a major transport corridor. We thought the location was excellent. We got a good deal by emailing the reception directly and found they were very helpful and accommodating. We only wanted parking for 2 hours and were not charged the $35 parking fee which we greatly appreciated.

We would certainly stay here again because it suited us so well. There was enough room for the children to have some fun running around and this is rare at the price we paid in central locations.

If you are travelling in a Wheelchair don't stay there. They advertise x 2 accessible appartments. This means the doorways are wide enough to get a wheelchair through and thats where it ends. No shower chair, no hand held shower rose, no hand rails in the shower, no hand rails beside the loo (although 1 very small 1 BEHIND the loo) a full size vanity unit so u cant get to the sink to wash hands or brush teeth from a wheelchair!!! A bed on Wheels!!! An impossible kitchen from a wheelchair. I actually felt very unsafe there.
