A real shame about this hotel. It's right by a few nice beaches on the coast, and surrounded by bright gardens and golf course.....it could be amazing.

Unfortunately it's very run down - the rooms looked like they hadn't had any attention since the 80's. They were dirty and very dusty. The layout also means walking through a maze of concrete pathways (often through the car park) to get to your room. If we were staying for more than a night we would have checked if there were any newer / renovated rooms.

On the plus side, the pool area was pleasant and the check in staff were friendly.

We thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us at Novotel Coffs Harbour Pacific Bay Resort, we are constantly looking at ways to refine and improve our delivery of service and the quality of our product and your feedback will certainly assist in this.
We are upgrading the rooms, new LCD TV’s have been installed, new curtains and air-conditioning units have also been installed in some rooms. Carpet and bedding are some of the next items to be upgraded at the resort.
We have also recently upgraded the signage in the car park to make it easier for guests to navigate through this area of the resort.
Thank you for your comments about the grounds of the resort as our team works extremely hard to maintain the surroundings areas and golf course to a high standard and it is feedback like this that will serve as encouragement for their efforts.
We thank you again for your comments and do hope that you to will afford us the opportunity to serve you better in the future.

Kind regards

Very nice garden setting. Rooms are good but could use a facelift.

Few KM out of town so not convenient unless going to a conference within the resort.

Breakfast, $29 involved cockroaches crawling over crockery. Also the coffee was undrinkable. For the price, a barista should be available.

I paid $140 per night including a bottle of wine which was a great deal. I believe this was an internet special and much cheaper than normal.

We do have the Food and Beverage outlets treated in regards to pest control on a fortnightly basis. We also offer espresso coffee and have barista trained staff on hand to make coffee at guest’s requests.
We are located on the northern side of Coffs Harbour which is approximately a 5 minute taxi fare from the centre of town or 5 minutes from the jetty strip which consists of local cafes and restaurants. Once again I thank you for your feedback, and do hope that you to will afford us the opportunity to serve you better in the future.

We arrived and checked in with only the minor difficulty of not being able to park directly outside reception, just irritating having to park and walk then back to car and drive to car park. Room when we found it was very tired and in need of renovation/redecoration, very 1970's. Having said that the baclony was good and overlooking the lagoon which made it a relaxing place to enjoy an early evening drink. Bathroom was o.k. with lots of hot water and a good shower. Not impressed with the evening restaurant or meals available at thebar so took ourselves into town for more choice. Breakfast however was good. Perhaps we expected too much or perhaps it was just not the place for us but would not return or recommend, sorry.

With the design of the resort we do have limited undercover car parking however we do offer set down areas so that guests can unload and load luggage to and from the rooms. As mentioned in pervious responses we are currently working on a schedule for rooms improvements which will encompass various areas of the room.
We have discussed your comments in regards to the meals at the bar with the Food and Beverage Manager and Executive Chef for them to address.
We thank you again for your comments and do hope that you to will afford us the opportunity to serve you better in the future.

This would have to be one of the best value for money resorts around. We stayed in a recently renovated Accor Vacation Club studio room with a wonderful view over the lagoon, gardens and surrounding area. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean with a king sized bed and a good sized balcony. Dining is covered by Charlie's Bar and Restaurant which provides excellent quality food at at a reasonable price, especially if you have an Acccor Advantage Saver card. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Spacioius grounds include a challenging 9 hole golf course and 4 swimming pools. Plenty to do and see in Coffs Habour with a trip to the Bruxnor Park lookout and fish and chips at the wharf a must.

I am extremely disappointed by my stay here tonight. Firstly, I ordered a twin room with single beds which was confirmed and paid for. My arrival time was 5.30pm and when I arrived at my room, it was a Queen bed, and no singles were available ( obviously teenage boy not happy sharing bed with Mum ) As we had been at a sporting event all day, we decided to order
room service and relax for the night. When I rang for a burger($19.50) the lady advised me that it would be a $10 fee for them to deliver it to our room. The alternative was to pick it up from the Restaurant. So, I showered and changed into something respectable for a Restaurant, and the staff told me to wait at the bar until the burger was ready (10-20 mins) So I purchased a glass of wine and waited and waited... After a 40 minute wait they thought to investigate as I questioned where our room service was. An hour later I had the burger, but extremely disappointed. As we travel quite regularly, I have never come across such a poor customer service policy. I would never recommend staying here, and a $10 charge to deliver room service? I have never, ever heard of this. After a long day in the sun, who wants to hang around waiting in a Resteraunt for their room service. We stay away at least once a month and stay in lovely places (Rydges, Raddison, Mecure, Crown Plaza) This is my first ever review as I am furious. Don't waist your time trying here, there are lots of other better places to stay.
