“2 nights stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2012

Very clean and modern premises. Kettle, toaster, irion and irioning board in room. Bed very comfortable, bathroom good size. Plenty of parking. We booked because they advertised that there was a restaurant on the premises. When we arrived we were informed that the restaurant would be closed for this weekend. Was disappointing but there was a Thai restaurant next door and a hotel not 5 minutes walk. Bar fridge in room was stocked if needed. Breakfast was fine. Grafton is only a 1 hour drive away. Would happily stay here again .

Quick business trip to Coffs Harbour this week and I needed somewhere within walking distance of several locations near the Coffs town centre. The Quality Inn filled the brief nicely. On arrival, check-in was a breeze and I was given a room in the newer wing. Nice and clean, very comfortable and double glazed which helped dull the highway noise during the night. Make no mistake, there is little hope of blocking out all of the noise from the Highway and man, there are a lot of trucks rolling through Coffs Harbour all night long to cause grief for the light sleepers. Room service was excellent with a good selection from the restaurant on the menu. Breakfast next morning in the restaurant again was excellent with above average service. Overall, a very friendly, well run establishment, ideal for my stay.

Room Tip: Unless you are someone who can block out highway noise at will, ask for a double glazed room.

Thank you for your reveiw of your stay and I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Traffic noise is a constant challenge for us and we are continuing to adress this issue. All our rooms are double glazed which has assisted in this area. If you are a light sleeper we can offer rooms in quieter areas. Please let us know next time you intend to stay

We arrived at night without a booking and were given a clean, tidy and well decorated room at a fair price. Service at reception was excellent. We ordered room service just before the cut off time and they were incredibly prompt and friendly - and it tasted great. Reception staff (Micheal?) was extremely helpful when checking out the next morning and gave great advice on interesting places to go from there and where we might like to stay at out next destination - all spot on!

We stayed at this hotel en route to Orange - we wanted somewhere quiet in order to get up early the next morning in order to get into Orange at a decent time. We were also looking for somewhere that offered a two-bedroom apartment and the Quality Inn at Coffs did so. Check-in was efficient and the apartment was lovely and very clean - recently renovated with a decent size kitchen and fridge as well as a nice modern bathroom. Bedrooms were of a good size and there was a pleasant lounge. Outside of the property also well looked after and there was a pool (which we didn't get time to use). Key issue was it is positioned right at the front of the hotel and next to the highway - broken sleep for my partner and hardly no sleep for myself, as we kept hearing trucks breaking down the hill until about 2 - 3 am. I note other reviews say it has a great location which is true in one sense - but if you want a good night sleep and choose to stay here, I'd strongly suggest asking for a room in the back part of the hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back wing should be quieter

I appreciate the time you have taken to write a review for our hotel. The specific room you stayed in has just been fully renovated with double glazed windows, we will now be upgarding this which I trust will alleviate this issue. I am pleased you enjoyed the other aspects of your stay.

We made a last minute decision to stay in Coffs for two days after a trip to the Gold Coast. Arriving without a reservation we able to secure a room with one bedroom and lounge room. The staff at the front desk were helpful and check-in was simple. On the outside the property is very well kept and this continued into the room. It was extremely clean with the bathroom and kitchenette spotless. The bathroom had a bath tub with overhead shower and was quite spacious. The room was equipped with LCD TV's in both the bedroom and lounge. There was also a decent sized bar fridge which made storing items a breeze. The lounge room had a single bed with a rollaway stored underneath. It was a comfortable size for two adults and three children. We made good use of the clean pool area and BBQ. The only down side of this is the lack of privacy when swimming or using the BBQ as everyone on the Pacific Highway can see you. Some sort of screen would work a treat and add some privacy.
I didnt hear any traffic noise in the room, nor did any noises bother our small children. The name of the place obviously indicates its proximity to town. We were able to easily ditch the car and walk in order to fulfil our shopping needs.
This is a great place to stay with firendly staff and the price is spot on!!

We stayed for 2 nights and found this hotel clean, pleasant and comfortable. The air con worked well on the hot days. We only had the standard bar fridge so keeping all our ice bricks frozen and drinks cool for our day trips was a problem but probably won't bother most people.
I can't say we heard any traffic noise, maybe only the front most rooms are affected. Internet was available, but we didn't use as a fee was involved. Location was easy to get to from either direction off the highway and a short 3 min drive down to the jetty area. We would stay here again if we were in the area :)

Nice clean and comfortable accomodation.
Staff were really helpful with any requests.
Nice clean swimming pool.
Good location to town, just a stroll down the road to the shopping strip and some restaurants. About a ten minute drive to the beak, at the most.
I'd happily stay here again.
