“STAY AWAY !”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

Stayed 2 nights. Booked online and pre paid :(. The pics you see online are not what you get! as you can see there are no pics of the bathroom. It was atrocious! So outdated and filthy. Hot water is extremely limited as there is only an 80L tank.. Water pressure zero. Very 60s bathroom. Rusty sink, one towel per person ( and no changes). Beds are terrible. Queen mattress on a wooden box base that didnt fit. Very hard and uncomfortable.Quilt and bottm sheet only. No top sheets. Electrics were dangerous. You could only use 2 appliances at a tme! If you used the microwave while you had the heater on the electricity tripped.Under the cushions on the dirty couch was full of food and sand.Place was full of notices. Do this dont do that or a 500.00 fine applies ! Couldnt wait to get out. Do yourself a favour and spend an extra 10.00 so you dont feel dirty when you leave.Extremely disappointed.

Room Tip: Spend an extra few dollars and go somewhere else. STAY AWAY from this one.

Coffs Harbour has the full range of acommodation available and the principle 'you get what you pay for' applies.
A colleague & I stayed 8 nights while we were working in Coffs Harbour. We chose this property based on price and location.
We were offered 8 nights @ $70 a night for 2 people in a 2 bedroom older style cabin. It was clean and quite spacious, with fairly dated decor. The cabin sleeps five, the beds are reasonably comfortable but there is only 1 toilet and shower. The kitchen is basic, with a small fridge and toaster oven with 2 hotplates on top, which didn't bother us because we weren't holidaying, just using the cabin as somewhere to stay while working all day. With a little thought, the kitchen could be stocked better to include some sharp knives and microwave containers. As with most accomodation you only get 5 of everything with regards cutlery and crockery. The lounge converts to a bed, one of those multi purpose items which does neither task particularly well. I'm not sure why a real lounge was not used because you would not want to have any more than 5 people staying in the cabin. Free WiFi is included, but you have to catch the owners at home to get the code. Each cabin has an air-con unit.
There is a separate laundry and BBQ, and the pool looked very well maintained. The beach is only a few hundred metres away, yet the location is very quiet, tucked away in a dead end street and not exposed to the noise of Ocean Parade. It is a short walk to the jetty and restaurants in the vicinity.
This is accommodation at the cheaper end of the market and would suit families on a budget. It represents good value for many in a great location.

Room Tip: Take care parking you car under the awning, especially if it is large. The screen door swings outwar...

Great cabins, very well equipped, neat and very clean. Communal bbq area, pool and laundry. Great location close to all attractions.
The best all round accommodation we stayed in on our trip to Oz, the staff were also very helpful and I actually liked the fact that the reception is only open during normal office hours as it gave one a sense of freedom and not like someone was watching you all the time.
You probably won't get better value for money than this.

Clean rooms, spacious & lots of beds (sleeps 5). Feels like you're living in the 70's with the decor. We paid $65 per night for 2 of us in a 2 bedroom apartment. Good for what we needed. Owners only available 8-5, very inconvenient. Bring your own string for washing if wet. No clotheshorse!!!

Park Beach Cabins are a great option, especially if you are in a group. These are nice suites, they are very clean, the kitchens are big and fully equipped, each suite has its own kitchen. There is a beautiful swimming pool, with a nice view. It is very close (2min walk) to the beach. Nice porches on the front of the cabins to hang out at. There is laundry, (bring coins). For the cost you really get a lot. www.ParkBeachCabins.com
