“excellent in all weather”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

On a visit to Oz 10 years ago we enjoyed this Garden, at Easter, and my wife has always said "we must return".. So we did, in summer although it was misty. It is not just the flowers, plants, trees, views, but the large number of wonderful birds who inhabit the garden and make it a special place. It is now also free admission. Lot of steep paths but they have an occasional shuttle which helps. The new Formal Gardens are a delight of colour, and so well laid out, planned. Well done.

“Nice and good place for relaxation.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

We visited this Botanic garden in November and weather was just right. Lots of shrubs and trees were blossoming. Just walking along the foot paths among the flower beds watching the butterflies and bird life was really interesting. Landscape was nicely done. Enjoyed very much!

“Superb Gardens”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

We visited the Botanic Gardens in November 2012 we were lucky to have good weather. The gardens are well signposted off the Great Western Highway The Gardens are magnificent with at least seven different settings with a huge amount of flowers, trees and shrubs most of which are named. The restaurant was clean and well priced for excellent food. All the staff especially the girl at the visitor information desk were helpful and interested. A full day is probably not long enough and the there was no entrance fee!!

“Botanical and Avian”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

What a wonderful place. We visited this week and were very lucky to have had good weather. An astounding array of plants, shrubs and trees. Add to this the bird-life and the butterflies and you have a most wonderful place to spend a few hours. The staff were great too. Ask them anything and they'll answer your query.
Restaurant was a bit pricey though. And watch out for the naughty Satin Bower-birds stealing sugar from the cafe tables! Great fun.

“A quick escape from the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

Mt Tomah is only a short drive from the hustle and bustle of Sydney. Clear mountain air and fantastic views from the restaurant. The flowers you'll see will depend on what time of year you visit but just to walk amongst the trees is impressive enough. You can lunch at the restaurant or bring along a picnic and sit in one of any locations and soak up the atmosphere of this delightful place.
