Ate there on Mon 8/04/13. I had the roast suckling pork, which according to the reviews is one of the restaurant's signature dishes, but I found it rather mushy and tasteless. On the plate was also some incredibly stringy fibrous green matter which did not taste of anything identifiable - what on earth was it? Why put it there? In general, restaurants in Canberra have gone downhill in recent years, and gone up in price. I think there are too many overpaid public servants and various blow-ins such as politicians and hangers-on who know absolutely nothing about good food, who are willling to pay ripoff prices for mediocre meals. Compared to the meals I have had at ordinary humble ristorantes in Turin, Trieste, and Milan my meal at Mezzalira did not rate at all.
