Don't be put off by the English menu.. the really good stuff is on the two page Chinese menu. Something worth trying is the "Beijing meat pie" (北京肉饼) as well as the Shredded potato (土豆丝）- a bit like french fries, but with vinegar and garlic, and is very yummy. There was also a plate of an interesting selection of meats, including roast beef and smoked chicken. We also had a yummy dessert of some red bean sesame cake.
Simon, the Chinese chef is very helpful, enthusiastic and friendly. It's easier just to ask him for recommendations if you want to be adventurous and stay away from the usual Australian/Chinese "classics".
Definitely worth a visit. Seeing the place full of Mandarin-speaking Chinese is an indication of its authentic cuisine.
