We were there on a Friday night, the later sitting. We were well into our meal and everything was going well until, while we were still eating, the staff began to put out clean linen and cutlery on the tables that had not been used or had been vacated. They didn't exactly look at their watches but we felt the pressure to finish sooner rather than later.
Close friends dined at Aubergine last night, also the later sitting on a Friday, and their experience was the same as ours.
It's a pity that the lack of consideration of the staff was what we remembered, not the excellent food and wine. We did expect better of this very highly rated restaurant.
