In May 2013, our family (including a 6 month old) stayed here in a 2 bedroom apartment booked through Accomodate Canberra (part of Maloney's real estate). We were kept waiting at 'check-in' because only one person in the whole place knew how to do the process. Our child screamed for 10 minutes while we waited to be served.
Upon check we headed up to the room. Stairs and no option of a lift - bad luck if you have lots of luggage, port-a-cot and child in tow. Entering the room the first thing you could smell when you open the door is the musty smell of a room not often used and not well ventilated.
Beyond that the bathtub turned out to be a very dated spa, with grime and mould in the nozzles. We had upgraded our booking to ensure we had a bath for our baby - what a rip off.
The final straw was the constant hum of an airconditioning unit outside the room... it was the low rumble of heavy machinery, you could more feel it than hear it but it was right under our room. No one slept well in that place, but as it was the weekend there was no staff to help us.
On check out no apology was given even when a complaint was made at front desk the next morning the employee just ignored me.
It is disgusting and for the amount we paid to stay at a supposed 4.5 star property I would rate is a 2 star at best.
