“Top Sichuan AND Yum Cha ! too much. too good.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2011

This place is my new favourite.
Good food with truly authentic and interesting twists. The al a carte options are distinctly sichuan and will please all tastes without fail. The yum cha is easily some of the best quality I've ever had without a doubt.
The staff and service are always too willing to make sure you're ok.
We've eaten here a few times now and it never disappoints. Each new dish we try is surprising and tasty. You can order yum cha and/or from the full menu - the choice is so wide and varied. I can highly recommend the yum cha - delicate parcels with top notch ingredients. Excellent vegetarian options too.
I won't go into more detail because the options are so many and varied, you really must explore and discover this place for yourself. Its chinese, its sichuan (schezuan) and its damn good ! Need I say more?
go now. enjoy.

“love the spicy - our new fav”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2011

So we have been coming here on and off for about a year now and it never fails to disappoint. I can't believe no one has reviewed it. It is such a hidden gem that when we want to catch up with friends or people come to stay from out of town this is where we take them. The restaurant specialises in Szechuan which for those who aren't familiar with this cuisine is characterised by bold and spicy flavours such as chilli, ginger, garlic and of course szcheuan peppercorns. It is delicious and this place always delivers. One of our favourites is the beer drunken duck with comes in a complex broth that is just packed with various spices. Just when you think you know what it is the flavours change. It's like the willy wonker of chinese.
This place also does yum cha for lunch which is also very good. We have been to the dumpling house just up the road and the quality of the dim sum was just no where near as good. The also do a hotpot buffet for dinner which we have never had but looks very popular especially with the local Asian community who also flock to this place. So yes it does get busy and yes sometimes we have waited a while to be served but when you get such delicious food who's complaining just order a bottle of wine so you can sit back relax and behold the experience. YES I'M IN LOVE WITH SPICY GINGER.
