“Contemporary and Convenient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

Stayed just one night on business - stylish contemporary design throughout, this may not appeal to some but for me it was great.
Helpful staff and breakfast on the terrace offered a good selection in a nice location.
Depending on what you're doing in Canberra the location of the Burbury is convenient.
Wifi was free - sort of - there was a listed charge for initial use but this is waived.
A great restaurant is attached to the hotel and there's a great bar opposite (apparently very popular with DFAT staff) and a nice cafe next door.
I can't offer a comment on value for money as the booking was corporate.

If you are into a minimalist look then you will like this place, I do not like the black hallways but otherwise it's ok, comfortable but terribly overpriced for what it is and what they offer. Gym should be free breakfast you have to go over the road to the other hotel. Stylish overall ok .

Thank you for your review of the Burbury Hotel on Trip Advisor.

The Burbury Hotel has breakfast facilities located on the rooftop terrace (level 7), which is part of the hotel.

The health club which is located in our sister-property, the Hotel Realm is a state-of-the-art gym, which offers facilities unlike a standard hotel gym including Techogym equipment and Kenesis - all costs are displayed on the hotel websites.

Regards.

This place is amazing, from the moment you walk in, the staff are very friendly and always happy to help. It is not over crowded, and the rooms are well appointed and clean. Can't wait to go back and stay in this hotel.

Having lived in Canberra many years ago and a regular visitor, I have just found this hotel. Admittedly it is new, but I would have stayed here more if I had known about it. It is well located near Parliament and many other things that workers and holiday visitors use.
The rooms are comfortable and everything worked well, except the wifi. If I had stayed longer than one night I would have followed this up and I am sure it would have been sorted out. The staff were very helpful with advice about local places to eat and there was free parking under the hotel.
Breakfast on the 7th floor was very pleasant and the views of Canberra were very nice.
I am sure I will be back for longer next time.

I only stayed here one night but it was very comfortable and quiet. We had a great nights sleep. We stayed in a studio that comfortably slept three of us. It had a kitchinette with everything we needed. Excellent breakfast included in the price. It was an easy walk to Manuka for dinner and close to the National Gallery. Free secure parking. I would stay there again.

We felt like we were the only guests staying in the hotel....

It's such a quiet hotel and offers much privacy for guests. Slick, modern styled rooms with great bathroom (fabulous shower head!), smart apple TV and comfortable bed.

The Burbury is opposite the Hotel Realm and shares guest facilities. The rooms are very similar and the main differences (other than Tariff) are the hours of the reception desk, walking distance to the pool & restaurants and bathroom amenities.

I would certainly stay here again and really enjoyed the hotel - Maple and Clove is fantastic too for breakfast (just a few doors down from the hotels).

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

I have stayed here on a couple of occasions, most recently 10th July. As always, I found the rooms very clean and tidy, mine was a quite large studio style with a kitchette. Very quiet hotel and location, to the point you could have been mistaken for thinking you were the only one checked in. Parking is a bit of a pain, in finding a empty spot and trying to fit into the carpark, which is quite tight. Hotel facilities accross the road, with restaraunts and bars, gym, spa etc at the affiliated Realm Hotel. Rooms can be made quite dark with the blinds if you need some catch up sleep. There is no full time reception, so for early checkouts, you need to express it, and im still waiting for my emailed Tax Invoice. Not a major issue, though come expense time... All in all, a good business hotel, great location and with Free WIFI to 100mb and desk/table in the rooms, suited my purposes well.
