You can visit this place regularly and still see new things. $2 entry fee is a real bargain to see our first Parliament House. It's great just to sit in the chambers and imagine what happened there, or to read about our Prime Ministers. And who would have thought that the office of the Prime Minister was as humble as it looks now? You can spend hours reading the history, looking at the paintings or exploring the hallways. And then have a snack at the cafe. Guides are very knowledgeable and helpful. Plenty of parking out front, or park near the National Gallery and enjoy the walk through the rose garden.
