“Learn about Australia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2014

You can visit this place regularly and still see new things. $2 entry fee is a real bargain to see our first Parliament House. It's great just to sit in the chambers and imagine what happened there, or to read about our Prime Ministers. And who would have thought that the office of the Prime Minister was as humble as it looks now? You can spend hours reading the history, looking at the paintings or exploring the hallways. And then have a snack at the cafe. Guides are very knowledgeable and helpful. Plenty of parking out front, or park near the National Gallery and enjoy the walk through the rose garden.

“Enthusiastic Staff”

Great guides who are obviously very interested in their subject matter. The place tells its own stories based on your ideas of what went on there in the last 70 years or so

“Out of this world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2014

I visited this museum after spending time at the new Parliament House just a short walk away and this was awesome! Take a tour with a guide and really experience this old and gracious building. See the Prime Ministers office prior to 1988 and even his bathroom is on show. Juat an incredible visit and so much to see and experience. Not to be missed while you visit Canberra! Look out for the Press area and see the old telephones and equipment from the older days! You can visit most of the attractions by a free bus service running 7 days a week but this was available in 2013 but I am unsure about if this is still running in 2014! $2 entry which is great and you can take photos as you walk around but you will need to hand in large bags.
