“Best preserved and located of all castros”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2012

This castro is right along the ocean, with a fantastic view of the coastline. There is little or no historical information at the site, but plenty can be found by online research

“Stoneage Celtic History”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2012

Its a bit out of the way but worth it to see a Celtic village fairly complete. The views across the Ria are worth the stop alone.
The whole area is covered with wild samphire so take a bag to collect some!!

“a magical place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2012

This is the ruins of an ancient Celtic town, on a dramatic cliff overlooking the water. Absolutely stunning, dramatic, and haunting! The views are amazing, the circular remains of the buildings are fascinating and create a rhythmic labyrinth among the beautiful eroded rocks. Please note that this is steep, slippery (particularly as it is usually either raining, or drizzling in this gorgeous part of Galicia), and terrain where you need footwear with some traction! It is well worth the climb.
