“5 Star B & B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We recently stayed at Meadow Farm for a couple of nights and took the last room available upstairs overlooking the A10, The standard of the room was excellent and great thought had gone into the decor to make it very comfortable if slightly on the small side. The bathroom was huge with a large shower and separate freestanding bath, again everything was to a very high standard. A continental breakfast was provided in the bedroom including a fridge to keep Yoghurt and fresh milk. Being close to the A10 there is some noise despite the double glazing and with a window open perhaps irritating but closed it didn't bother us. Just a mile or so up the road is a park and ride into Cambridge so no need to struggle to find parking in the city. Excellent value and quality and we certainly return.

Great place, not easy found on Tripadvisor as listed under Waterbeach rather than Cambridge, but absolutely perfect place if you are looking for 5 star accomodation with hint of countryside feeling. Beautiful rooms with attention to detail at every step, 10 min drive from centre of Cambridge and what a value (31.03 - 59 per night!).
Be aware that there is only continental breakfast (all in the room), quite busy road near by and signal in TV not so strong during poor weather, however still one of the best BB I stayed in.

We spent three nights in the rear apartment.
The first thing you notice when you walk in the apartment is the space and the very pleasing decor in the bedroom. When you start using the equipment, you notice the high quality. Eventually you start to notice a little traffic noise and also a few noises from the adjacent apartment. But these minor shortcomings did not bother us and we could not hear the traffic at night. Breakfast is continental, comprising a generous selection of cheeses, croisants, yogurts and jams, and individual coffee bag filters so you don't have to put up with instant. A big bonus is the kitchenette room which is equipped with microwave/oven and hob, so you can eat in if you wish. Shower, bed and TV are all well above the usual standard.
Taking your car anywhere near Cambridge centre is like Hampton Court Maze - and then very very expensive to park, so the proximity (5 minutes) to the Park and Ride is another huge plus (£2.50 per person).
Meadow Farm is a real gem of a place, particularly for the price - little over £60 prpn. Easily worth 5*. We came away feeling the place had given us more than just a pad - but a brilliant holiday experience.

Room Tip: Room at back was slightly better for road noise perspective

Forget the travel lodges, if you need a great little base for exploring Cambridge, look no further! delightful B&B with own compact but delightful and well equipped studio, (including compact kitchen, sufficient to self-cater if wished), and very friendly, helpful owner Tracey.
Would highly recommend, and will definately stay again without any hesitation when in the same area.
