10mn north of Morere by foot, on the beach, you'll find this nice beach restaurant.
The location is great, people are nice, and food is really really good.
I had a lot of moquecas all over Brazil in the last 5 weeks, including in highly reputed restaurants of Bahia and as the typical french I am picky with food but I have to say the shrimp moqueca with bananas was really excellent. A bit oily but not too much (dende oil, from west african culinary tradition), creamy, rich and incredibly flavorful.
We had other good plates but the moqueca de banana was really special. The 3 expats eating with me were also impressed. The price was 45 for a large moqueca with TONS of shrimps (a dish for 2).
The caipi was good too, with a bit of biterness as a good caipi should be (usually a good sign when the caipi is good).
Highly recommended !
