“Luxury I wish I had at home - and affordable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

I recently stayed at Parrot Tree, a placed I had visited and loved during other trips. This is the first time I stay in one of their suites, and I was totally taken by surprise by the level of luxury inside each of the suites. All their rooms are configured identically, with a full kitchen, marble counter tops, huge bed, and sofa bed, mahogany cabinets, and luxury appliances. I had seen some of this quality in Roatan before, but at Parrot Tree it is taken at whole other level! Exquisite! Yet more affordable than other resorts in West End. Totally reccommend this resort.

Room Tip: All rooms are configured as a one bedroom suite. For parties of more than 3 people they reccommend a...

Stopped by here on a tour of the Island. The Coco Locos are delicious, but be careful, after just one gravity seems to increase when you stand up!! LOL! Thought we would also have a little snack of seafood ceviche and nachos. The portions were huge! Couldn't even come close to eating it all. The ceviche was great, the nachos were pretty average. Beautiful place, lots of tourists. Looks like it would be a great place to stay for a few days.

we stopped here from a cruise ship and found the property fabulous-
It reminded me of the Yucatan many years ago (not Cancun - but the more
authentic Mexico) but this place is one of the most well appointed and
beautiful places we visited anywhere in the Carribean.
We did not eat there, and if (as some reviews here state) the food is awful-
that is truly ashame because everything else seems perfect.
ONE fabulous restaurant (navtive- but very clean - wonderful food -
very attentitive service and very, very inexpensive) is nearly called

We have just been so impressed with our stay at the Parrot Tree Resort! We absolutely would come back to stay here again. It has everything you need to have a great relaxing vacation. Our suite was right on the large sandy beach just steps from the lagoon. We love to be close to the beach - so this was such a perfect spot. If you want the pool experience...it was just steps away - and beautiful. The suite was beautiful...beautifully furnished, lots of storage room for all of your things. The kitchen was well equipped...and was great for making some of our own meals if we didn't choose to go out. Be sure to stop at the grocery store just near the Petro Sun Gas Station...just a few minutes down the road - Its just like your grocery store from home...with all the things you'd ever need for your stay. The staff were very friendly. The hotel - suite was very clean and everyone was more than happy to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We really appreciated the security around..made us feel very safe. The food at the Cafe in the mornings was great...always fresh coffee. The Palapa Bar & Grill had great food and great service. It is a very well maintained resort, high end finishings, in suite laundry, with everything you need to have an extremely enjoyable stay. We would come back in a heart beat. We visited several of the other resorts during our stay just to compare...The Parrot Tree gets our vote hands down! We'll be coming back for sure!

Room Tip: We stayed in building # 4 by the beach. If you are coming during the busy season and you don't...

My husband and I stayed at the Parrott Tree Plantation for a week last New Year's Eve. Pros: the rooms are gorgeous, enormous and have all the modern conveniences. We loved making our own food most nights, did our laundry, and relaxed with TV when we wanted to. Also, the food at breakfast was delicous, the wait staff was superfriendly, and we loved having drinks by the water. Cons: it seemed that every other day a huge influx of cruise tourists would come to the Plantation during the day but then when they left the place was deader than dead. At one point we wondered if we were the only people staying there. Also, while the lagoon is gorgeous, the property isn't actually directly on the beach which we may have preferred.

Overall we had a GREAT time and I would recommend this to people like us (mid-30s professionals) who don't need to be in a sea of bars and restaurants. The best part really was the New Year's Eve celebration where they had specialty drinks, food brought in by local vendors, a DJ, the limbo and crab races!

Room Tip: Choose a room that overlooks the ocean. It was GORGEOUS!!!

Clean, great food and great service. Perfect to relax. Spectacular pool and such nice people.
The seafood soup and the 'parrillada platter' (plate full of steak, plantains, vegetables, avocado beans) were delicious and just $12 for 2. Authentic food. Hondra was so nice at the reception desk and Fernando was our favorite waiter.
Can't wait to go back!

We love this property, it has everything needed to relax and enjoy the great outdoors.
Fabulous pool and huge sandy beach lagoon. The property is a nature preserve and maintained nicely. Very safe and comfortable for any size family. I could live there forever!
