“Quiet, good service, but not beach front”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

Good service since check in. Room and breakfast is nice. Pool is a bit small, just realize that not beach front when arrive. But can 5mins bike. Price is a bit expensive compare with other hotel in same location.

We enjoyed our 5-day trip to The Beach Village. Its very quiet with lovely surroundings. Staff was very nice and super helpful. Restaurant was quite good with reasonable prices. One suggestion would be to change the furniture a bit in the 2 bedroom villa we stayed in....It was just odd, not bad though. We have young kids and the pools were kind of deep, not really small kid friendly. In saying that, we really did enjoy the place!

We booked this by mistake and fell in love straight away and booked an extra night. We were upgraded to a poolside villa. There are 6 villas around quite a large pool. No one else here so we had the pool to ourselves. Rooms are well appointed and have hairdryer, tea and coffee, mini bar and cable TV etc. Free Wi-Fi. It is low season so very quiet and private. Even a roof top area on each villa. The village itself is how I imagine Cha Am probably was 15 years ago. Magical paradise!

Room Tip: Poolside villa

Stayed there 1 week with my husband - 2 nd time - it's the perfect place to totally unwind, relax, , feels like you have the place to yourself in low season. New Resort Manager Mr. O - 100 % committed to all guests with a relaxed atmosphere, thai smile and humour you just appreciate . Also, if you love animals - Gai the resident dog, and Fai the resident cat - make this a special place. If you live in Thailand - bringing your pets to stay is what makes this a stand out place . Beautiful gardens /surroundings & pool . Restaurant totally relaxing with view to garden area. And a great mix of international guests from Danish, Australian , French , German , and Thai's - a large number on a weekend holiday from Bangkok. You will not be disappointed !!! Value for money !

Room Tip: All Rooms over look a pool area , even the 1 bedroom is large enough for a couple . Comfortable mo...

If you want to get away from it all and just soak up the sun, sea and pool, this is an ideal choice. The resort has a small pool at each cluster of units and it's only a couple of hundred meters to a vast un-crowded beach. Some units are owned by individuals who rent them when not in personal use. So the furnishings vary from unit to unit, but all seem to meet a good standard. Our one bedroom unit had a large open plan living-kitchen-dining room which was well furnished. A nice touch are the rooftop patios that most units have which allow you to have refreshments while enjoying free flowing breezes and nice views. This is a well designed and maintained property which is run by Danish investors. So everything works to a European standard. Due to its location, you'll need either a bike/motorbike or car to get around. We drive and there was plenty of secure parking. Motorbikes can be rented in the nearby town. We stayed with Danish friends and had a great time.

Room Tip: We found all rooms to be pleasant and quiet in this un-crowded location.

This place is partially an owner/occupant run complex where some of the units are privately owned and rented out as hotel rooms. This is not a bad thing, but one should be aware of this arrangement. The place is quite large, but each enclave of rooms gives you the feeling of a more intimate space, with a separate pool for each of 6-8 units. Beach Village Resort is NOT next to the beach, and it is a bit of a walk to the beach itself but we never minded this, and renting mopeds made it very easy and enjoyable to not only access the beach but the very beautiful Sam Roi Yod area itself. Better restaurant options away from the resort- especially Chomtalay Seafood..we ate there three times in four days and we had amazingly delicious seafood every time!!

If you want some peace and quite off the beaten track, this is just the place.
Share a pool with 6 other guests just outside your front door. (Not suitable for very young children). A 10 mins walk to the beach and a good choice of places to eat. Free use of bikes, not sure there would be enough to go round if the place was full.Dolphin Bay in a few years time I think will be much buisier than it is now. A good time to visit for peace and quite.
