Fortunately we only spent one night at this motel. Bonus was free wifi and the location is good and such a shame the units are in such poor condition. I am guessing they are waiting for an offer they can't refuse from a hospitality group. With refurbishment these people would be bringing in the dollars and have a very successful business.

The unit was not clean, lighting was poor, plugged in the heater which short circuited another item plugged in and plug was very hot to touch, tv reception was hopeless on all but one channel, cigarette butts left outside unit door (upstairs), exterior of toilet had been plastered up and wall paper/laminate peeling off, shower is a serious health and safety issue although there is a sign saying something about be careful getting in and out. I was regretting not packing my own linen. I did wonder if the pillow cases had been changed.

It's clean and will do for a night. It breaths an 70's atmosphere. A bit annoying you have to re-install the channels on the TV yourself. All and all 100 dollar is reasonable for a night.

So bad. Didn't think NZ would have places like this! Does not represent the country! Cockroaches in the sheets, plus stains. Mould and peeling paint. 2 light bulbs exploded and the guy refused to change it because it was the weekend. A hole in the shower had been mended by gluing on the breadboard, (which we had been looking for earlier.) No iron, no can opener, and no apology. and for 5 of us we paid $200 a night. They guy simply said "Alright, you've made your point." Could be entered into the worlds dirtiest motel. I never check in now to a place without checking reviews!

This motel is on a main road in a suburb of Auckland. For travellers on a self-drive holiday, the location is convenient. Easily accessible from Southern Motorway and just a short 5 minute drive away to shops and Sylvia Park - a large mall on Mt Wellington Highway. There are ample parking lots and being a small establishment, you can park your car right outside your room. The rooms are of a good size, big enough for family with kids. I have stayed in the studio room (upstairs) and also the suite (ground level). I personally found the studio room to be a better choice as it is more compact and cleaner.
