We had heard about this place but had opted not to go because it is so far off the beaten path. Then we took a wrong turn and ended up on the road there anyway, so we kept going. It is on the top of a hill overlooking a beautiful valley. It is small, and so when it is full (there was a party of 30 there when we had lunch) it is not quiet. We were originally is a small room until a family with 3 small very loud boys showed up and then we moved to the larger room.
For a starter we had a ravioli stuffed with smoked cheese in truffle sauce that was most delicious. They specialize in wild game that is caught by local hunters. I really wanted to try the duck, but it must have been out of season. We had wild boar in wine sauce and venison in herbal sauce. Both were tender and flavorful. Because it was busy we didn't stay for dessert, but I would go back again and try other dishes. If you are coming in tourist season or with many people, I'd recommend making a reservation.
They speak English and have a menu with translations, too.
