“Best food for miles and miles”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013 via mobile

I went here for lunch today with my husband and I was not disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was warm and friendly. They are really accommodating and gave me something that was not on the menu but just what I Wanted. The bar is clean and traditional and warmed by a wood burning stove. Just what you expect in North Yorkshire. I will return for more hospitality and delicious fare.

“A hidden gem! Absolutley amazing!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013 via mobile

We went to the Plough Inn for a special occasion meal as we like to try new places, some over the years bad, some good. The Plough Inn is now where EVERY occasion will be spent. The food and service is outstanding. I can't even put into words how good this place is!!! EVERYONE needs to go here. You will not be disappointed. Have your meal and as a side dish try the chefs pies. Out of this world. 10/10!!! Great food, great service, great big smile on our faces when we think about The Plough Inn.

“Great find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

We were staying nearby and by chance tried this lovely pub. The dining area is secluded and friendly . The menu not complicated but plenty of choice. The staff were knowledgable and helped us choose dishes we might not have tried otherwise. Very reasonably priced first class food and according to my husband the real ale was amongst the best he has tried. I stuck with the wine recommended by the lovely Kiwi girl behind the bar

“Fantastic village pub tucked away in sleepy Wombleton, great food and a lovely atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012 via mobile

A group of us visited the Plough recently, the night was cold and foggy but the Plough was warmed by roaring log fires. We were treated to a selection of 3 traditional ales, the Theakstons Best was fantastic. We ate in the sunken restaurant area, starters we're great, empty plates all round and the main meals were also excellent(my steak was a good size and perfectly cooked ).
Staff were fantastic, very attentive and great service.
Needless to say we're planning to return very soon.
A real hidden treasure of a pub !
Cheers

“Quiet evening”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

We booked a table, but didn't need to as it was very quiet. The food was mixed our pie was tasty but pastry burnt, steak a little tough, the belly pork was however excellent, the other two meals were average. The young waitress was running the bar as well as serving us, she was very pleasant.
