“Nice clean rooms on nice piece of property”

I missed the last Ferry to NS last night the 30th had to turn around and find a place to stay. Came across Rachel's maybe 15 minutes from ferry .This place was real nice. Way cleaner and nicer and less expensive than the Crown Plaza in NB I stayed at 2 nites before, and the Rodd I stayed at in Charlottetown the night before. The rates were super great the rooms were like new (I stayed in the Motel part that was actually a row of newer double cabins) there was plenty of room outside and a small playground for kids. Check in took all of 3 or 4 minutes. There was no fridge or microwave in room, but eh, i didn't need one. There was a coffee pot and a new working air conditioner, and I sure appreciated them. So if your ever racing for the ferry and miss it, or just want to stay at a nice place that is close to the ferry, check out Rachel's, you will not be disappointed. I certainly will be back my next trip to the Island.

Room Tip: The Motel part looks newer than the single cabins, but are just as clean

Great service, quiet area, and extremely clean rooms. Sure it's not a fancy upscale hotel but a great place to rest your head after visiting the island. Only 20 minutes from the ferry back to Nova Scotia.

Very unique set up. A mix of cabins and motel rooms. Very good service. A friendly atmosphere where people can meet and have a campfire, sit outside there rooms, etc. We stayed in a motel room. Rooms are a bit dated, but clean and completely adequate. Our room had a double bed and a pull out sofa. Towels were plentiful and smelled great. It is a great atmosphere to be social and meet your fellow traveller's, it has a feel all its own.

We came in on the late night ferry and needed a place for the night. Had a hard time seeing the signs because they were too small and it was night time. But we did find it and the lady was kind and quick with the check in. The cottage was quaint. It had everything we needed. It did need some updating, but it was clean and as I said comfortable. Reasonably priced!

I stayed at Rachel's for one night during my motorcycle trip around the maritimes. It is located 30 minutes from Charlottetown and was 30 minutes away from the ferry that we took from Nova Scotia. It was very well priced, we stayed in a 1 bedroom cottage type room with a queen bed, air conditioning, satelite tv, a fridge, microwave, sink and full washroom for $60. When it comes to motels I am always very sceptical. The furniture was a little dated but I must say this place was spotless! I am pretty germaphobic but I felt very comfortable staying at Rachel's because it was just so clean. It is not the Ritz Carlton but I would definitely stay here again and reccomend it to anyone passing through PEI.

My family of three adults spent two nights here; we had been camping and sought shelter on short notice as a storm approached the island. The tiny 2-bedroom cottage was very clean, updated and well-equipped. Fresh towels were provided the 2nd day without our asking. Washer & dryer on the premises were much appreciated. The rate was only $75. including the charge for 3rd person and taxes. The only possible downside was that the AC for the whole cottage was a window unit in one of the bedrooms.

Wonderful value and very safe for my family, a wholesome experience in Prince Edward Island. Would highly recommend this location to families, solo travellers, and couples. Lager playground and park. It feels just like your in a painting and lovely to share with your loved ones.
