“Bristol House, Llansaint”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013 for a stay in May 2013

Bristol House in Llansaint is situated just a few minutes from Kidwelly Castle in beautiful Welsh countryside with breathtaking views of the sea and coast. Booking this accommodation for a weekend was simple and straight forward.

The owners are helpful and friendly and provide plenty of information about the house and surrounding area.

The standard of furnishings at Bristol House is over and above what you might expect. For a couple the propery is huge and it can obviously be used to accomodate a large family with children. Everything you need for a comfortable stay has been provided. From the well equipped kitchen to the tastefully decorated lounge this has been well thought out. Heating is by way of a very effective wood burner ( instructions on how to light it are provided ) although we only lit it once since the weather was generally warm.

A barbeque is provided and the house has a small enclosed garden with outdoor seating which is an added bonus when the weather is good. Everything in the property worked well and excelled our expectations.

With a pub just a couple of minutes away and nearby shops you have everything to hand. The village is picturesque and pleasant to walk around as are the coastal walks and surrounding countryside. There is plenty here for all tastes. Whether you are looking for a quiet weekend retreat or a family holiday; the beaches, castle and nearby country park, all add to the appeal.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely!

“Fantastic comfortable house in a great location”

I recently stayed at Bristol House as part of a group of two families with young children. I found the accommodation excellent: spotlessly clean, everything you need for a comfortable stay already at the house and plenty of room inside and out for young and old alike. Llansaint is a pretty village with lots to do nearby: Pembrey Country Park is a gem and the beach at Llansteffan is surely one of Wales' best kept secrets! Overall we enjoyed a relaxing holiday as guests of the very friendly and accommodating house owners. Highly recommended.

A great let and good value. Very well appointed rooms for a family visiting the area, everything you could want for for a short stay of holiday. location allows you plenty of options for days out beyond the local beach.

Tip: Stay on the dual carraigeway to carmarthen at the end of M4 it takes approx 5 minutes less but feels like 20.

“Great Cottage, Great Location”

About 10mins drive from Pembrey, 5mins from Kidwelly Castle so lots for the kids to do. The pub is 50yds away and v friendly (and kiddie friendly, even in the evening).
Cottage is very nicely done - all stone, leather and teak - kitchen v well equipped (loved the grinder full of coffee beans!).
Really good TV / DVD / theatre sound set up. Also cot, high chair and baby stuff provided which saved a lot of space in the car.
Be aware there is no gas in the village so you need to learn to make a fire in the wood burner - which was actually really good fun and a great boys' activity.

“Beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of Wales.”

Set in the lovely village of Llansaint, Bristol House was really easy to get to. And once you get there, there's loads to do. Pembrey Coastal Park is perfect for a day out - beautiful white sandy beach and great walks through the forest. On the other hand, if you don't want to do much, the cottage is fully kitted out with a charming wood fire, lots of books and even a dolby stereo home theatre system.

“Our lovely stay at Bristol House”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

Bristol House is set in a lovely village called Llansaint that over looks the ocean and the beautiful countryside of Carmarthenshire. its a lovely cottage with loads of room. it has a wonderful courtyard garden with a barbecue and outdoor seating, the cottage is very well fitted out with everything you need home from home, as well as a lovely wood burning stove in the sitting room that made the chilly nights very warm and cosy.

There are lots of lovely beach's and country walks to go on and there are plenty of local shops near by. Kidwelly castle is just down the road and is a great place to go and explore we had a lovely time there spent hours, very interesting.

The kings Arms pub just 2 mins from the front door is a winner the beer is good and the landlord and landlady made use very welcome they done even mind children and dogs.

All in all we have a lovely stay, so a big thank you to Alison and Sean we will be back.
