“A really good B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

Stayed here for one night in the driftwood room and really enjoyed it.
You have your own entrance to your room so you felt like you almost had your own small part of the house. The room was exceptionally clean, nicely decorated and has a lovely window looking out to your private front garden. It also has a well concealed microwave, kettle, fridge - all very handy, as were the complimentary chocolates and port on offer. Chances are if you've forgotten to bring something from home it will be there for you in the room - binoculars, umbrella's, blankets for cold evenings visiting the penguins, DVD's, books...
We used the outside spa set in the gardens, very clean with salt water - and with only 2 rooms at the B&B its not hard to get to use it by yourself.
Breakfast was in the small dining area at the back of the house, and I'd rate it very good.
The hosts were better than very good they were great, friendly, helpful yet not overbearing, some people just make great hosts.
The B&B is located in a quiet street a couple of minutes walk to the beach, Ventor is a quiet area yet only 5 minutes drive to busier Cowes.
If I had friends who were thinking of staying on Phillip Island I would not hesitate to recommend this B&B.

Tim and Lyn,

Thanks for the wonderful review; it's great to know that you enjoyed your stay including your spa session. It was a pleasure having you stay with us and we appreciate all your lovely comments both about us (blush...blush) and our B&B.

Stayed for a Sunday night and had a perfect stay away from home. Greeted by the lovely hosts and were shown around the place. We booked the driftwood room which was clean and bright and had a great array of DVDs to pass the time out. Short walk to the beach and a close drive to restaurants. The breakfast spread was more than impressive with plenty of options and were left very satisfied. Loved the full English breakfast of sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and best of all black pudding! We were also allowed to stay past the check out time if needed but on this occasion we didn't. Will be sure to stay again after this very memorable visit. Was our first B&B experience, hopefully all future ventures are similar to this.

My Fiance and I had a wonderful time here. We were well cared for by our hosts. They strike a wonderful balance of being available but not in your face. The rooms are very clean, private and peaceful. The place has great character. A perfect hide away.

The best B&B I have experienced in a long time.

This place is great - has everything you need plus more. Owners are fantastic, very helpful and welcoming (eg complementary tim tams). Short drive (approx 5 mins) to town and other sites such as penguins. Great breakfast. Highly recommended - we'll be back.

One of the best B&B's we have ever been! So friendly hosts, great breakfast and an amazing room - even the smaller "Driftwood Room" is an hole apartment with your very own garden and terrace. Everything is done with a lot of love so you can find books, dvd's, a pack with everything you need to visit the penguins, a whirlpool and a beautiful garden. Just perfect - go there and have a good time!

I stayed at SeasTheDay B and B as a birthday surprise from my parents and could not have wished for a more comfortable, lovely few days away. The Captain's Quarters, in which we stayed, is beautifully furnished in a wonderful nautical style, is so spacious with a lovely deck and has everything in it you could possible need - the attention to detail really is outstanding. Bill and Jeanette were incredible in making us feel at home and arranging the most lovely surprises for me. Nothing was too much for them from printing off all the birthday cards sent from home, putting birthday bubbly and chocolates in our room and even dropping off a birthday cake at the restaurant they handpicked, making doubly sure we had the best table in the whole place! I can't thank them enough for making the start of my 23rd year such a wonderfully happy one. I would love to return to their B and B; having stayed in many in the UK with my parents whilst growing up, I can honestly say that Bill and Jeanette's trumps all of them. It is clear that Bill and Jeanette do all of this, going above and beyond, simply because they just love making people happy - and, more importantly, they know exactly how to. Thank you so very much to you both.

The actual B&B was even more spectacular than the reviews and photos we had seen on the Internet. The Bali style gardens and structures are beautiful during the day, and even more spectacular when lit up at night. The Captain's Room was large and luxurious and the bed an absolute delight to sleep in. Bill and Jeanette are wonderful hosts and the huge home cooked breakfast, especially the sculptured cooked tomatoes and perfectly poached eggs made a great start to each day exploring Phillip Island. Ventnor is only a 10 to 15 minute drive from Cowes, so location is out of the hustle and bustle and extremely relaxing. Would definitely go there again!

Room Tip: If you want the luxury of the Captain's Room with Bar and Home Theatre as well as huge twin show...
