“never would have thought....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

Last November, i was on a business trip to Villahermosa, Mexico. We were group of 7. The first night we walked the area, and stumbled on the Rodizio Do Brasil, which turned out to be a fantastic steak house.
All the meats, and endless variety, are carved at your table. Everyone is given a coin, heads indicates " yes, i want more and tails, not right now" . what an experience-Non stop eating and drinking for about 3 hours. i cannot tell how many different types and styles of meat we ate, including chicken hearts-they were great..
In addition to the meats, there is a center island filled with salads, etc. There is no restriction on how much you can consume.
We had such a great dining experience, that we went back there 2 nights later.
in regards to the cost, i believe for the 7 of us, food, drinks, and a healthy tip it came to about 600 U.S. dollars-not bad at all.
If anyone happens to be in Villahermosa-make it a point of eating at the Robizio Do Brasil.

“Good Churrasco”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

Good variety, very similar to others you'd find in the US or even Brazil. Service was very good. Yummy cheese crusted pork!

“Brazilian in the Maya Jungle”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

Recently had the opportunity to visit Villahermosa, a city in the Jungle. Very Green, very lush.
Recommended by friends, we decided to dine at Rodizio as our trip highlight.
We arrived on a busy Saturday, at dinner time (around 5:00 pm), locals usually have lunch at 3:00 pm, so we were late for Mexican Lunch, very early for Mexican Dinner.
The Buffet is typical of other Brazilian Style restaurants, this one didn't have a lot of the items found in other restaurants, but was still pretty decent.

The meat selection is also pretty typical, Top Sirloin, Bottom Sirloin, ribs, lamb, chicken.
The good cuts will arrive only once at your table, then you will see a repeat of the lower quality cuts make the rounds.

The one thing that caught our attention was that ladies purses were covered with a table cloth, apparently they have had some incidents where people have had their belongings removed from the table. Once we saw this, we started wondering, and started noticing a network of video cameras installed on the ceiling pointing at pretty much every angle inside the dinning area.
A few of the waiters were keeping an eye on customers, but in a strange manner. We felt a bit uncomfortable, and asked for our check.
Not too sure of what sort of security and internal problems with waiting staff, but definitely its a first time being under video surveillance outside of Las Vegas, where patrons moves are taped and scrutinized for further review.

Food was good, hot and tasty. If you happen to stumble to Villahermosa, then, try this restaurant, which is owned by the same group that owns the others in that same complex.

“Avoid going to the branch restuarant of Paraiso (Rodizio Crustaceos)”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

Eating there is a real nightmare. My wife, daughter and I went there three days ago. In principle, the waiter did his best to make us choose meat and seafood bufett (which is quite expensive). As we refuse to take it, the service became slow and poor.

Although the place is familiar, the menu does not have portions forchildren, soI had to share a paella with my daughter. The worst part, however, came with the oysters Rockefeller which requested my wife. It took half an hour to give them to her, did not come into their shells (but clam shells) and were cold. Consequently, the oysters were not fresh and seemed to be the ones that come in a can.

Do not throw your money going to this restaurant. In the area there are other options that are cheaper, have a better view, fresh seafood and fine cuisine.
